Chapter 2 - 2. The Damsel in Distress

The Sky is blue

The Sun is bright

The earthly smell of wet soil telling me its rained last night.

No wonder sun is this bright in morning,

Its only eight in the morning and I can still see the dense crowd of people on street. Well, I shouldn't be that surprised considering not everyone is unemployed like me but not anymore.

I am a bit nervous about my new job, if it's really exist. Getting job invitation out of nowhere sound like a bad start and doesn't guarantee, if things will turn out good. Still there are butterfly in my stomach.

The Butterfly of excitement tickling my inside and also the growls of the lion.

The hungry lion I should ignore. It's not like I skip my breakfast cause I am to excited to go (He is) . I am not in a mood of eating dry bread.

While on my way I check the address twice written on the letter. It's actually quiet close to the to my locality. So close that I can just walk to it. All I need to know is the right direction of the cafe. It maybe a bit shameful to admit that I have been living in the district from birth and still didn't visit my local areas. But shameful word doesn't exist for those who are stranger for the world.

Another good thing about stranger is that you can ask them any general or appropriate question and they will answer you without judging your background or intentions. After all a good person is a great stranger.

So I ask for directions from a great stranger.

I was in a great doubt about what if cafe never really exist but when the kind lady start to navigate the way to the cafe, I felt the moment of great great relief.

In fact the presence of the lady feel like an angel - Her every word coming out of mouth felt like song and I want to hear every word of it.

She told me it would only take fifteen minutes to reach the cafe. As she done helping me out, I can't stop but hold her right hand and bow my head as a gratitude. I know its not appropriate to hold a stranger hand but I just want to thank someone for the good things happening to me.

The Young lady also smile back at me while flinched her swollen eyes a bit. The young Damsel does look in lot of distress but I am in no place of asking her personal questions.

I thanked the lady again and just passed five step away against her opposite direction. Suddenly she speak in a shivering voice.

Excuse me sir!

I turn back noticing the her face is different from before. She has a concerning look on the face and have more focus on me then before.

she began to speak in a bit stutter,

Umm... Do you know someone from the cafe.

Sorry, I said. it's a bit random so I can't seem to get her question.

she again speak with a minute break

Are you visiting the cafe as customer or ... It's nothing

I don't know what she trying to ask or what she wanted from cafe but,

I got a job offer from the cafe. Today will be my first day at work.

We shouldn't really share things with the strangers but like she answer me like great stranger I should also answer her like a great stranger.

As I told her about my reasons to reach the cafe, her face changes in seconds. Her downside eyebrows shapes into rainbow and heavy lines on her forehead disappeared. The eyes widened as she looking at light. Her lips shivers a bit and then she inhales as she want to speak something but only end up mumbling something to herself.

Thank you for telling me that, You must be in hurry then. Sorry for taking your time.

After saying that she just walked away into the crowed.

I really want to know about, what's the deal with her but she is right I don't want to be late on the first day of the work.

I once more take a peak to the direction where the lady went and then start walking to my destination.
