Chapter 17 - Our Little Paradise [1]

Mr. Maddle sat as his face frowned, he was sort off weirded out by the question, but at the same time he seemed comprehensive with the young woman's request, with that said, Maddle brushed slightly his moustache as he started recalling.

"It was a long time, but I'll try to recall everything that I can." He said as he cracked his back simultaneously.

"It was a rainny day, this side of the Chamber's town is usually gloomy with rainny days, it wasn't nothing weird for us. In the morning we went to the Opera house, a new show had been released and Kuvon was really excited about it. As so, me and my wife agreed to acompany him, the show was nice except some strange difficulties, everything we went fine. Once out, he seemed slightly worried, even somewhat sicklish, he told us he saw a friend, and that he would come back home later, we didn't gave it much a thought as both of us went back. We waited for a few hours until we had clear that he went missing." Mr. Maddle said as he rubbed his chin, almost comically.

Korra sat calmly as she didn't know what to say, thankfully one of her subordinates was already writing all the information in a notebook. It was clear that something happened after the or in-between the show, were the difficulties in the start of the show also a part of Kuvon's dissapearance. There had to be someone who was coordinating all of this movements. Was the figure that Nail saw the one who kidnapped, the young boy? There was too much to unfold.

"Thank you for your help, We'll bring Kuon as fast as possible, but we will need to investigate the matter, and right now what it seems is that the Opera, is the main location where the disappearance happens."

Korra's head started to feel heavy, this was too much her for her, she wasn't used to work this much in a day.

Mr. Maddle's face seemed slightly worried, though he didn't tell why he was feeling that way. Though, it was clear why did he react that way. He was scared of that faction who was inside the Opera, the so called "Opera of the Narators"

Without much else to say, Korra stood up from the sofa and walked off the room, with the three members of The Hares, leaving the flat of the Maddle family.

Back in the Hospital...

Nail felt a bit weird, he noticed the bad mood of Gaia, but he didn't know what made her react the way she did, Nail felt as if he was just talking about the past.

While so, Mergo looked around him, surprisingly, his clothes didn't change and still wore the hospital's clothes, in contrary of the other times he was in this situation, he barelycould see himself, but he did notice that his clothes used to change, also, he noticed that this time he could control his body, surprised he looked at his hand which had an ethereal form, being able to see through it almost as if he was a ghost. This is a unique opportunity to understand a bit more of himself, and so he started walking around this strange realm.

Mergo kept walking, following the same route he used to take inside his usual dream, following the same path he knew, seeig the dark sky over him, the grey sand under his feet, as the sea, didn't produce one single wave around it, while the own color of the sea was of a black pitch color, now being able to move his vision, he looked around, being able to see on top of huge mountains with cabins which shined lightly, being of the only light sources in this "beach". Mergo kept walking, slightly bored, expecting that something more...exciting would happen, his mind drifting through different topics, like: why was he here? why does he keep dreaming about this shit-hole? Will the Horse appear once again? Is this related by what Nora was talking about with Nail? Was he really that special?

He kept walking, finally reaching the same place where he'd usually meet that weird horse, but this time, it wasn't there, to look at him.

With a sigh, Mergo turned around, maybe he'd have more luck if he walked to the complete different side he is used to.

Suddenly, the second he turned around, both the sky and sea turnedinto transparent seemingly common water, then, it slowly turned smokly and finally, turned into a black mist, which slowly turned into that same damn horse, Mergo scared of the scenary, started running away trying to avoide the horse

While so, Nail and Gaia noticed how Mergo suddenly fell asleep, Gaia got slightly worried and pushed Nail away of the chair which she was sitting on, Nail quickly moved around and sat on the other chair which was on the left side of the bed. Gaia held Mergo's hand while she was getting progresively woried, in the other hand, Nail wasn't as worried, feeling that he knew what was happening to the young adult.

Mergo kept running as fast as he could, slowly feeling his body reaching a limit, turning his head around and watching the horse, walking towards him, as if it knew that it didn't matter how much he ran, he would eventually catch up.

After 7 more miutes of Mergo trying to run, he ended up on a small cliff, as the horse behind him unmovable and as silent as the wind stared at Mergo, expecting something from him, It's red eyes slowly blinked, towards him, and slowly stepped.

"What do you even want from me!?!" Mergo asked alreaky on his knees. añmost desesperate.

The Horse didn't answer, even though it seemed to understand how fearfull Mergo felt towards him, he made one more step.

Mergo didn't have any more room to escape, as he only could see the horse getting closer and closer.

Once infront of him. The horse sat, as a red colored "Shashka" appeared next to him.
