Chapter 251 - Chapter 251: What? Ravenclaw's Husband?!

Chapter 251: What? Ravenclaw's Husband?!

He originally wanted to read for a while, but since there was still a palace sitting in his pet space, he decided to flash back there.

He had placed the palace on the isolated island where the seven Dementors were originally kept, so he wasn't sure if Ravenclaw knew about the palace's existence.

Dylan didn't immediately go to the palace on the island. After all, he had already thoroughly searched it and hadn't missed anything. And now the entire palace was already in his world, so there was no need to rush to check on it.

Instead, he turned and came to the wooden hut at the border of the forest and the ocean. He immediately saw Ravenclaw watering flowers.

"Good morning." Seeing Dylan, Ravenclaw greeted him.

Dylan nodded. "Good morning."

Ravenclaw smiled and said, "I've calculated that the day and night here seem to operate on a normal schedule."

Dylan didn't deny it. "That's right. The world isn't fully developed yet, but in the future, I believe this space will become more and more like a real world."

Ravenclaw nodded in agreement. "I think so too." She stopped watering. "I observed this world carefully yesterday. I found that there's a mysterious force at work in many small details, not just in the reproduction of living things, or the growth of plants."

"If someone were to cause large-scale damage to this world, it seems these forces would repair the ecosystem at an extremely fast rate."

"But when I wanted to study what this force was, I found I had no way to even begin."

Dylan chuckled. If it were that easy for you, wouldn't the hundreds of thousands of Galleons I spent be for nothing?

Even though he thought that, he still said, "I believe if you persevere, you'll definitely make some progress."

Seeing that Ravenclaw didn't seem to know that he had already obtained her legacy treasure, Dylan didn't mention that he had moved the entire palace in. Instead, he asked, "Headmistress, did you leave behind any legacy before? Like a treasure?"

"Legacy? A treasure?" Ravenclaw was stunned for a moment. After thinking for a while, she shook her head. "I'm not sure. Perhaps there was, but it might have been left after I was created." Her delicate fingers gently tapped her pale chin. "Based on my personality, I think if one day I knew I was going to die, I would leave my private property, including all the knowledge I could leave behind, as a legacy for future generations, so that more people could be enlightened with wisdom."

Dylan nodded. No matter how much Ravenclaw in his world acted like a real person, Dylan didn't forget that at the end of the day, she was still an entity who had come out of a portrait. Therefore, he couldn't treat her as the real Ravenclaw.

Of course, whether she was the real Ravenclaw or not didn't matter to Dylan right now. There was no need for him to consider it. Regardless of whether she was or not, the one standing in front of him was still Ravenclaw.

"I see."

Dylan suddenly flipped his palm, and a miniature library appeared in his hand.

Ravenclaw raised her eyebrows slightly, her eyes on the small object. "What is this?"

"It's for storing books." Dylan smiled. "Merry Christmas, Headmistress Ravenclaw."

"Christmas?" Ravenclaw's eyes widened slightly. "Is it Christmas today? Oh, I haven't had time to prepare a gift for you—"

"Don't worry about it, Headmistress. Your presence here, helping me manage this world, is the greatest gift for me."

Hearing this, Ravenclaw's eyebrows relaxed, and her eyes held the clear light unique to a seeker of knowledge. She nodded slightly, a perfect arc of a smile spreading across her lips. It wasn't ostentatious, but it was gentle enough.

"Then thank you for your Christmas gift. This is the first gift I've received since I became conscious. I love it."

The morning sun slanted across the boundary between the ocean and the forest. Dewdrops on the serrated leaves of ferns refracted a little light.

Ravenclaw reached out and took the magical library from Dylan. It was very small, only about the size of a palm. Ravenclaw felt it for a moment, then opened her eyes. "A magical object? Are there books inside?"

Dylan nodded. "Yes. I transcribe every book I've read and put it in there. Besides that, there are also some manuscripts you can take a look at."

Ravenclaw tilted her head at this, then opened the small door of the magical library. Her consciousness entered it. There were indeed many books. Some were brand new, but some looked very old, with the parchment even turning yellow. She casually took one out. When she unrolled it, she was surprised to find that it was a draft she had once written while researching Memory Charms.

Ravenclaw looked up, her eyes rippling with a hint of surprise as she stared at Dylan. "This... child, did you borrow this from the library?"

Dylan shook his head. "No, I found it in a palace."

The sea breeze blew, and although it was blocked by the trees behind them, it still tousled Dylan's hair.

"A palace?" Ravenclaw suddenly realized something. "Just now you asked me if I had left behind a legacy and a treasure. Is this what you were talking about?"

Ravenclaw's reaction was very fast. A smart person's mind is quick to turn. She instantly understood what the previous words and events were referring to.

Dylan admitted it directly. "That's right. Yesterday, I found a palace, and it was the treasure you left behind."

Ravenclaw paused. "It seems I really am just a portrait, because I don't remember anything about a legacy."

Dylan blinked. "Maybe it wasn't a legacy site you specifically left behind. After all, isn't Hogwarts your legacy?"

"Is it?" Ravenclaw smiled slightly. This child was very articulate. With such a sweet mouth, he must be very likable at school.

"I wonder, can I go and see the palace you mentioned?"

"Of course. I've already taken the palace in yesterday."

Ravenclaw's eyelashes fluttered. In fact, she had sensed some movement from the ocean yesterday. After all, a large mass of magic suddenly surged in. It could easily disrupt the magical balance of this world. At the time, she was studying the world's ecosystem. After the huge mass of magic appeared, there was a momentary magical disturbance, but the whole world quickly calmed it down.

She had thought it was Dylan conducting some research. After all, he had specifically told her not to get close to the deep ocean. She never expected that this little guy had moved the entire palace she had left behind.

"Let's go." Dylan turned to look at the distant sea. The morning mist gathered into a translucent curtain, but a gust of wind scattered it. Dylan gently snapped his fingers.

Immediately, the fallen leaves from the forest and the seawater from the ocean gathered toward them. Then, they formed a cloud-like mass under their feet. Dylan stepped onto it, then reached out and invited Ravenclaw to join him.

"Thank you." Ravenclaw extended her hand. Dylan took it and gently pulled her up.

Then, the watery mass of leaves under their feet began to move, accelerating toward the depths of the ocean.

Norberta and Coalball didn't seem to have woken up yet. At least, Dylan didn't see them. But when he brought Ravenclaw to the isolated island, he found the two of them squatting outside the palace's main gate.

Dylan was stunned for a moment.

Ravenclaw blinked. "I saw the dragon and that little guy flying toward the ocean yesterday. It seems they've been here all night."

Norberta and Coalball were both dozing off. The red-eyed and blue-eyed stone statues in front of the palace's door didn't dare to make a sound. Maybe they were being careful because this was something their master had brought back. The two little creatures didn't dare to act rashly or cause damage.

But yesterday, when the red-eyed stone statue was suddenly thrown into this world by Dylan, it was dazed for a while. Then it saw a dragon and a pitch-black thing flying toward them. It was startled. It wanted to talk to the two creatures to see if it could get any clues, but the black cat slapped it on the face a hundred and eighty times.

Its soul was already in so much pain from being tortured by Dylan's Cruciatus Curse. The red-eyed stone statue also found that when it was slapped by this black thing, its body hurt, and its soul also felt a faint pain.

Finally, it and the blue-eyed stone statue didn't dare to make a sound. They just stood there in silence, facing off against the other two creatures for the entire night. They had finally managed to stay awake until these two creatures fell asleep. But they still didn't dare to make a sound, for fear of waking up these two inexplicable creatures.

"Moo?" After Dylan arrived, Coalball was the first to sense him. It opened its eyes in a daze. When it saw that it was indeed its master, Coalball instantly woke up, leaped off Norberta, and jumped toward Dylan.

Dylan caught it steadily and held it in his arms. He turned to the Ravenclaw beside him. "Headmistress, this is the legacy site you left behind. I not only found your manuscripts inside, but also a laboratory and a lot of magical materials."

He didn't mention the Galleons. Whether Ravenclaw knew she had left such a large sum of money or not, it was his now.

"Is that so? It sounds less like a legacy site and more like a private place for me to conduct experiments."

Dylan nodded, feeling the same way.

At the same time, as the two of them got closer, the red-eyed and blue-eyed stone statues also woke up. Although they didn't need to sleep, they could enter a dormant state to prevent their souls from being excessively consumed. And when they saw the face of the woman standing next to Dylan, both statues were dumbfounded!

The red and blue gems on their eyes flickered continuously.

"This... this this this..." The red-eyed stone statue stammered, unable to speak.

The blue-eyed stone statue was silent, staring intently at Ravenclaw, its blue gem eyes flashing with a very strange light.

"How... how could this be?"

Ravenclaw looked at the two statues at the palace gate. Seeing their reaction, her expression changed slightly.

"Dylan told me you were the gatekeepers of this palace? And since this palace was once mine, you must know me?"

The red-eyed stone statue was still stammering, unable to speak.

The blue-eyed stone statue, however, spoke in a deep voice. "Rowena?"

Ravenclaw was slightly startled to hear the familiar voice. The sea breeze carried fine sand, which hit her long robe. She looked at the blue-eyed stone statue.

"You... are Everett?"

The blue-eyed statue was also stunned. "You forgot me? No, you can still recognize my voice. You're..." The blue-eyed statue didn't know how to continue.

Ravenclaw paused. "I'm sorry, I've forgotten some things." Her gaze swept over the statue, then looked at the palace it was guarding behind it. "How did you end up like this?"

The red-eyed stone statue also reacted. The Ravenclaw in front of him didn't seem to be the Ravenclaw he remembered.

The blue-eyed statue was silent for a moment. "You forgot? That's good too."

Dylan stood by, watching Ravenclaw's reaction to the two statues, and squinted his eyes slightly. Ravenclaw seemed very familiar with this blue-eyed statue. He cleared his throat. "Headmistress Rowena, do you... know these two statues? Yesterday, when I met them, they said that you were the one who trapped them here."

"Me, trapping them?" Ravenclaw came back to her senses, her eyes flickering. "I'm not sure, but..."

Ravenclaw looked at the blue-eyed statue again. "He is Everett Thorne, and he's... my husband."

Huh?!

Dylan's eyes widened slightly. Ravenclaw's husband?

"You mean... he's Helena's father?"

Ravenclaw nodded gently.

Dylan was a little dumbfounded. With Ravenclaw's personality, she shouldn't have been so cruel as to trap a person's soul in a statue, right? Just from the red-eyed statue's description yesterday, he had speculated that it might have been two people who once offended Ravenclaw, and she punished them by trapping them here to guard her legacy palace. And looking at the red-eyed statue's petty face, that seemed very likely.

But upon reflection, the blue-eyed statue didn't seem to have done anything out of line. He also didn't have that petty expression like the red-eyed statue. When he told Dylan to throw the key into his mouth, maybe he was just fulfilling a duty Ravenclaw had entrusted to him?

"Was he a wizard, or..."

Ravenclaw shook her head. "He was just a Muggle. I remember that after we had Helena, he couldn't adapt to life in the magical world, so we eventually separated."
