Chapter 228 - The Blueprint

Gabriel calmly descended the flight of stairs, his feet causing a faint echo in the dark.

Although there were torches mounted along the sides, they weren't much help, and he could only see a short distance ahead. A normal human would have struggled and probably slipped on the steps.

However, thanks to leveling up multiple times, the darkness wasn't much of a problem for him.

'Although humans have advanced in recent years, it appears the beasts of the world didn't evolve.' Gabriel noted as he arrived at the underground chambers.

The chamber was filled with cupboard-like crates and chests stacked atop each other.

Silver and golden coins were scattered across the floor, shimmering faintly and casting a warm glow across what Gabriel could only assume was the storage room.

'These coins might have been very useful in the past, but they're no longer that valuable.'
