The red lights were Gabriel's concentrated mana, which he had channelled into his blade. Whenever he slashed his sword, it let out an arc—an arc that sliced through several vampires in a row.
It was a one-sided massacre, and Gabriel's clothes were stained with blood, none of which belonged to him. He wasn't as elegant as Scarlett, Sophie, or Alice. He was brute.
Those two women could literally walk into a slaughterhouse and come out without a bloodstain on them.
As for Gabriel, every part of his body was a weapon, so it was impossible for him not to get tainted unless he was extremely careful.
