The last lesson of the day slipped by smoothly—Alina had guided them through literature, then enjoyed the noisy chaos of their PE games, and finally settled them with a short, light story in language class. By the time nap rolled around, the babies were more than ready to tumble into the little haven she had prepared.
Alina walked ahead of them, her steps light, while her little troop followed behind. Drake was cheering loudly, bouncing as if nap time was a parade, his stubby arms swinging as he danced. Boo floated in lazy circles above him, spinning like a dizzy balloon. And Sable trailed along, hugging his orange plushie tight, eyes sparkling with pure excitement at the thought of curling up beside it.
"Everyone take whichever spot you like!!" Alina called cheerfully, gesturing toward the cosy nap nook.
