The class watched in silence, some leaning forward with wide eyes. Boo whispered dramatically, "He looks like he's about to summon a demon, not solve math."
Lucien rolled his eyes, but the corner of his mouth twitched.
Felix glanced back at his classmates with a smug look before quickly solving the problem in neat strokes. The chalk squeaked against the board as he wrote the answer with extra flair, finishing it with a little underline.
Alina clapped her hands cheerfully. "Wonderful! See? That was excellent, Felix."
Felix puffed up proudly, his small chest rising as if he had just conquered the world. He tucked the chalk behind his ear like a scholar and smirked at the others. "That's how it's done."
Drake groaned dramatically, sliding half off his chair. "Ughhh, show-off."
"Cheater," Luna muttered, folding her arms. "He probably practiced this at home."
