Alina put the snack bags from her chair carefully on the floor, leaning it against her desk before sitting down with a little sigh of contentment. She took out her small pocket diary and her phone, flipping through her notes as the quiet classroom buzzed softly with the sound of tiny hands writing. Her babies were unusually well-behaved today, and that made her smile.
Just as she began jotting something down in her diary, she heard a voice from outside the door.
"Miss Alina?"
She looked up in surprise. That voice—she knew it.
Setting her diary aside, she walked to the door and opened it, only to find Professor Hobb standing there, looking a little awkward, holding something that looked suspiciously like a small box of cookies.
"Sir?" she blinked, surprised. "You're here?"
Professor Hobb cleared his throat, his round glasses slipping a little down his nose. "Ah, yes. My students are having a short break, and I wanted to come and apologize to your class."
