Alina reached for the next notebook and immediately noticed how different it looked. Its cover was simple but charming—a forest-green shade with tiny leaf doodles drawn along the edges. The paper cover, however, had several small bite marks on the corner, and Alina sighed softly, already knowing exactly who it belonged to.
"Luna!" she called out, raising the notebook slightly in her hand.
Across the classroom, Luna's furry ears twitched instantly. She froze mid-chew—ironically, chewing on the end of her pencil this time—and slowly looked up. "Yes, teacher?" she said.
Alina smiled, trying not to laugh. "You've been very creative with your book cover, I see," she teased.
Luna huffed, put her pencil on her desk, and crossed her arms. "It's not my fault, teacher. It tasted like wood!"
The class burst into laughter. Boo floated down beside her, still giggling. "You really need to stop tasting everything that looks like a tree!"
