Ana held the dropper above his crimson eyes, and Alina unconsciously took a tiny step closer, ready to stop everything if Lucien so much as flinched. One drop… two drops… and she told him to close his eyes for a moment.
"Okay, baby, now open them."
Lucien blinked once… twice…
And then opened his eyes fully.
Alina gasped softly, her hand flying to her mouth.
His beautiful red eyes had transformed into a deep, glossy black—soft, starry, and completely human-like.
"Oh my goodness…" she whispered, leaning closer, her heart blooming with relief and awe. "Lucien… you look so handsome…"
Lucien's cheeks flushed pink as he looked away shyly.
Ana wasn't done yet. She lifted a small crystal bottle from her bag and shook it once. The liquid inside glimmered silvery-blue.
"And now… horn invisibility spray."
