Chapter 112 - Ch. 112 - The Trio [1]

Watson's POV

"Focus, damn it!" Silvera roared as she blocked the path where the sheeps were trying to run onto. Alas, they didn't care, so she got stepped on by the horde of sheeps, imprinting her body with their footprints. "Damn these little pigs-"

"Sheeps." I corrected her, making her agitated.

"I don't care, damn it! Block the path!" She roared to Rain, who conjured Water Wall. A tall wall made of water that turned into hard construct of Force blocked the way so that the sheeps cannot advance further. Then, using Force Hands, I slowly guided the horde back to their camp. Once they got inside, Silvera locked the gate, and we have successfully completed our quest.

"Finally!" Silvera said as she gulped down a vial of liquid to hydrate herself.

"Wow. I can't believe it took us two hours to bring back the sheeps to their camp." I said while recovering my lost energy.

"If only someone here is paying attention to the job description, then we would've finished this earlier." Rain said while giving Silvera a side eye. Then, the two bickered once more.

I know you are wondering... What is happening, right? You see, Silvera was the one who actually suggested to do this. After she heard that we got a C+ (even though it's passing) in our Combat class, she told us that it is considered 'failure' even though it is not.

So, she recommended that we must gain experience in battle. In the Lobby, there were tons of quests to choose in order to gain battle experience. She also said that we can earn money from completing the quest we choose, depending on the difficulty of the job. The easiest jobs give you ten copper coin, while the hardest jobs give you five to ten gold at least.

It's not much, but it's a start of earning our own money.

So, the three of us decided to take on a quest. But the first mistake we did was letting this stupid, orange muscle head, to pick a job for us. She didn't read the job description nor its difficulty. She just plucked it out and looked at the photo of the paper and thought: "Alright. Horde of Fiends attacking a small village. Let's go!", even though the paper clearly has a drawing of a damn sheep!

I sighed. "Well, at least we finished it. Where do we get our money?" I asked, hoping to stop the two from bickering.

"Well, since the paper has been signed already, we can just take it back to the reception and they will reward us." Rain said and we all came back to the academy, excited to get our reward.

Alas, our expectations were shattered when the receptionist gave us 1 copper coin.

"WHAT THE FU-" Silvera crashed out, turning all heads at our direction. We both got embarrassed, so we had to drag her ass outside and called it a day.
