The devil's way of spoiling
Knicks has been very clingy these days.
Ellis didn't care much at first. After all, Nix was not a safe demon in the first place. He circled around himself all day long, and it was not new to say a nonsense that made people unable to stand it from time to time. But in the past two days, the performance of the Knicks is obviously different --
Not only did he not play pranks, but he even restrained his ostentatious smile and became much quieter.
Of course, this kind of "quiet" is only relative.
For example, now, Ellis is sitting at the desk to organise the courseware, and Nix is lying on his shoulder, clinging to him softly as if without bones, rubbing his head against his neck, and his tail swaying lazily, occasionally wrapping around Ellis's arm.
"Knicks." Alice finally opened her mouth and looked down at the demon who was almost hanging on him, "I can't work with you like this."
"Then don't work." Nix replied lazily, with a little nasal voice, which sounded like he was being spoiled, "Accompany me."
Ellis sighed helplessly and put down the feather pen in his hand: "What's wrong with you today?"
"Not much." Nix's ears moved gently, "It's just... I think you don't pay much attention to me recently."
Ellis was slightly stunned and then laughed: "I see you every day."
"Bot you didn't talk to me much." Nix complained, turned his face slightly, and his golden eyes blinked at Alice, as if accusing him of being too indifferent.
Ellis stared at him for a while and finally reached out and rubbed his hair: "I'm really a little busy these days."
"So what?" Nix took the opportunity to rub his palm and gently patted his wrist with his tail. "Are you free now?"
"...It's barely like that." Ellis sighed softly, "Then what do you want to do?"
Nix suddenly smiled, shook his tail, and went straight from behind him to his front of him. He sat on the desk, his legs swayed, and his eyes looked at Ellis brightly: "Accompany me to play outside."
Ellis raised his eyebrows: "Now?"
"That's right!" Nix said righteously, "I've been locked up here for a long time. Shouldn't you, an indifferent human mentor, take me, a poor little devil, out to breathe?"
Ellis looked at his deliberately grievanced appearance and sighed helplessly, "Why are you so pitiful?"
"I'm so pitiful!" Nix said nonsense seriously, "I can only wander around the college every day, and I don't even have a decent entertainment activity. You don't know how boring I am!"
"You just put a large group of singing frogs in the auditorium the day before." Ellis said calmly.
"That's art!" Nix said, "You don't understand!"
Ellis: "..."
In the end, Ellis compromised.
Half an hour later, the two walked back and forth on the path behind the college. The wind at night carries a faint fragrance of grass, and the air is fresh and quiet. Nix walked next to Alice, and the back of his hand brushed his wrist as if nothing had, like a kitten trying to explore the border.
Ellis didn't hide or speak.
Nix glanced at him quietly, with a sly smile on his lips.
Then, he simply held Ellis's hand directly.
Ellis was slightly stunned and looked down at the wrapped hand. Nix's fingers were slender and slightly cold, but the moment he held him, there seemed to be a small flame hidden in his palm, which was so warm that people couldn't bear to shake it off.
Ellis thought that Knicks was just a prank, but instead of letting go immediately, he held it tighter and even muttered in a low voice: "If you dare to shake it off, I will go to the auditorium to release a group of singing mice."
Ellis: "..."
He sighed softly, and finally just gently shook Nix's hand back.
Nix suddenly showed a triumphant smile and shook his tail happily, as if he had really become a kitten that had successfully occupied the territory.
The night wind was gentle and the moonlight was gentle. Their shadows were pulled very long, entangled together, inseparabling each other.
