Hearing the voices headed his way, Riven quickly made a turn into a corner and watched from the darkness. He saw the group walk out; they were five people, a party made up of all men.
For them to be this deep into the dungeon, it meant that they were high-rankers for sure. Riven didn't want to have anything to do with them for now, so he focused on waiting and then going past.
But that's not how the world works, it chooses when to screw you over, and when it does, it's a heavy screw. Suddenly, one of the men passing by stopped right before the corner where Riven was hiding and then turned his head. He looked into the darkness, his hand moving toward his sword.
Riven stopped breathing, doing everything to make sure he was quiet, yet even then, it didn't work, the man kept looking. His party stopped when they realized that their member was standing still.
