(3rd Person POV)
"Hmm, intriguing. You can move objectsâor even bend spoonsâwith your intention alone. However, the blue glow suggests that some kind of energy is at work here," Betty said thoughtfully, her curious eyes fixed on the floating books.
She took out a notebook and began jotting down notes meticulously.
Then she looked up at him and said, "We should give this energy a proper name, I suppose."
"Let's call it psychic energy," Subaru suggested, "and let's name the ability to move objects without touching them Telekinesis."
She looked at him with surprise.
"You're pretty good at naming things, I suppose," she remarked.
He shrugged casually, then added, "Also, let's call the ability as a whole Ruler's Authority."
"Ruler's Authority?" she frowned at the grandiose name, which reminded her of the Witch's Authority.
"Yeah, the ability to move objects using only your willâit's kind of like a Ruler who influences those around them by their mere presence and willpower, isn't it?" he argued.
She nodded slowly, the realization dawning on her.
"You're not half-bad, I suppose," she commented, which surprised Subaru since he knew Betty rarely gave compliments to anyone.
She blushed slightly after realizing what she had said but remained silent.
"Well, I should be going. I'll finish learning how to read and write the language, then I'll come back here to read some books," he said and left the library.
However, he could sense her gaze lingering on him until the door was fully closed.
'A-Are you Betty's that person?' she whispered, clutching the book tightly in her hands as she stared at the closed door.

"Stupid Roze, doesn't even know how to read or write," Ram muttered, flipping open the notebook.
"At least you know the basic alphabets, right?" she asked, looking at him with a questioning gaze.
"First, I don't like the nickname you gave me. Secondly, didn't Roswaal tell you to treat me with respect?" Subaru responded.
She clicked her tongue. "Fine. Respected guest, Ram shall now teach you that this letter isâŠ"
Two hours passed in the blink of an eye. Ram stared at Subaru in disbelief. No matter what she taught him, he seemed to learn it instantly!
It wouldn't be wrong to say he had already learned almost a quarter of the words in the dictionary!
"Are you trying to act illiterate on purpose?" she asked, narrowing her eyes suspiciously.
"Nah, I'm just that good," he shrugged. With his Eidetic and photographic memory, plus top-notch comprehension skills, he really was that good.
Ram's eyebrows twitched at his words, and she muttered, "Shameless."
'Says the woman with Stockholm syndrome,' Subaru rolled his eyes inwardly.
Soon after, Ram left with the excuse that she had work to do, which he knew was a lie. In the previous loop, he had seen her attempt to 'work'âwhile the real work was done by Rem.
Subaru didn't mind and continued reading, determined to learn the language by the end of the day.
In fact, his reading speed had also improved. He flipped through pages every ten seconds or so, instantly absorbing what was written.

After dinner, he considered whether he should spend the night in Betty's libraryâit would certainly be safer there.
'Leave it. I'm pretty angry at that bitch. I want to see her try,' he thought coldly. If Rem tried to kill him, he was going to make sure she regretted it.
To be honest, he really wanted to kill her, but that would make enemies out of Ram and probably Puck. Even Emilia wouldn't approve.
Not to mention it would ruin his reputation.
'What a pain. Doesn't matter. This time, if she dares, I'll take a limb or two,' he thought grimly before heading to bed.
Just like last time, his plan was to wait for two hours to see if she would come.
After about thirty minutes, someone entered the room, and Subaru jumped out of bed, clutching his two knives. Unsurprisingly, it was Rem, her expression icy cold.
"It would have been better if you were sleeping. It would've been painless," she said, holding her morningstar firmly.
"Really? I can sense the hostility from you. But you want to kill me? Let me guessâbecause of the Witch's miasma?" he asked coolly.
She swung her morningstar immediately.
He dodged the attack and smashed through the window, falling into the garden below.
'Should I scream for help?' he wondered.
The only ones likely to help would be Betty and Emilia.
As for Ram and that clown? He decided to forget about them.
He ran toward the forest, seething with rage. This time, his speed had doubled. If he wanted, she could never catch him.
However, he deliberately slowed his pace so she could catch up. Once he reached a wide, open area, he stopped.
"Running away is futile. You will die here⊠filthy witch cultist," she snarled confidently, certain of her victory.
"El Huma!" Subaru narrowed his eyes as she began casting a spellâmultiple ice spears materialized in the air, aimed at him.
"Dona!" he shouted, using Earth magic as a wall of stone rose swiftly before him, blocking the incoming spears.
Fortunately, he had used a significant amount of magic, making the wall extremely sturdy and keeping him safe behind it.
Finally, he yelled, "Reina! Emilia! Betty! Anyone! Help me!"
He didn't know if anyone would come, but it was worth a shot.
"Foolish! Do you really think someone will come to save a filthy witch cultist?" she snarled.
However, at that moment, a girl suddenly materialized in front of Subaru.
