Chapter 410 - Chapter 410: Shi Xuan: I Had Already Seen Through Your Moves

Chapter 410: Shi Xuan: I Had Already Seen Through Your Moves

By the stream, a young man dressed in luxurious attire slowly approached Liang Yi, surrounded by a group of cultivators.

The young man's face bore a mocking smile, his expression full of arrogance.

When Liang Yi saw him, his expression immediately darkened, and he said coldly, "Xiang Mu, what are you doing here?"

"Oh? Angry already?"

The disdain on Xiang Mu's face grew even stronger. "Today you have no disciples of the True Sword Sect to protect you. Let's see how you fight me now!"

"Hmph!"

Liang Yi snorted. "If you have the ability, then face me one on one. Depending on numbers—what ability is that?"

"Heh."

Xiang Mu sneered. "Do you take me for a fool? Why should I waste a one-on-one when I have so many at my command? Who here could defeat you alone? Brothers, attack together. Let this so-called former prodigy of the True Sword Sect witness the might of our Myriad Law Sect."

"Yes!"

The group answered as one and launched their assault on Liang Yi.

Liang Yi immediately drew his treasured sword, fighting alone against over ten Dao Foundation cultivators.

Though his swordsmanship was exquisite, two fists cannot fend off many hands, especially when among the Myriad Law Sect cultivators there were some whose cultivation surpassed his.

Very quickly, Liang Yi was defeated.

Xiang Mu slowly stepped before him, pressing a foot down on Liang Yi's hand that held the sword. "I heard you were once defeated by a mere concubine-born of the True Sword Sect. I doubted the rumor, but now I see it is true.

You truly have no eye for people. In the True Sword Sect you chose the wrong woman, and after leaving you went to rely on two nobodies. Seeing disciples of my Myriad Law Sect, you don't even dare raise a hand. Why don't you follow me instead? At least here in Boundary Mountain, no one would dare touch you."

Hearing this, Chu Feng's melon suddenly lost all taste. He said nothing, only glanced at Shi Xuan.

Shi Xuan instantly understood, flicking the melon rind in his hand directly at Xiang Mu's face.

The speed was so fast, no one could react.

Smack!

A crisp sound rang out.

The noisy crowd fell into stunned silence.

When they looked closely, they saw the rind had left a clear red mark on Xiang Mu's face, half his cheek swelling immediately.

Xiang Mu roared, "Who—who dares to ambush me?"

"I'm standing right in front of you. How is that an ambush?"

A scornful voice rang out, drawing all eyes to its source.

Liang Yi, seeing the senior intervene, muttered, "Xiang Mu, you're finished. Hurry and kneel, apologize to the two seniors."

"Hmph!"

Xiang Mu ignored him with a cold snort. "A stray dog like you has no right to speak."

His gaze fell on Shi Xuan. "Boy, you're bold. Here in Boundary Mountain, no one has ever dared slap me. Tell me, how do you want to die?"

Shi Xuan chuckled. His master had once called him a destined great villain, yet compared to these people, he barely felt like a minor villain at all.

He asked with a smile, "Is living not better?"

"Arrogant!"

Xiang Mu was long used to rampant arrogance. Even the proud geniuses of Boundary Mountain had never dared humiliate him so.

"Men, take him down! Whatever he carries is yours to share."

"Thank you, Senior Brother Xiang!"

The disciples of the Myriad Law Sect shouted, then rushed at Shi Xuan.

Shi Xuan shook his head at the sight. "Why do you ignore Liang Yi's warning? Sword, come!"

At his shout, the sword by Liang Yi's side flew straight into Shi Xuan's hand.

Shi Xuan gripped the longsword and swung it casually.

"Wilderness Sword Rain!"

One slash erupted into countless sword-lights, turning into a rain of blades.

The disciples of the Myriad Law Sect froze in place. Before they could even defend, the sword rain had already fallen.

Boom, boom, boom…

Explosions echoed, and over a dozen disciples fell to the ground, only a few still breathing.

Shi Xuan twirled the sword lightly, then walked toward Xiang Mu at an unhurried pace. But with each step he took forward, Xiang Mu instinctively retreated a step.

After only a few steps, Xiang Mu stumbled and fell heavily to the ground.

His mental defenses crumbled entirely. Trembling, he stammered, "Don't kill me… don't kill me… I am the direct grandson of the Myriad Law Sect's Grand Elder!"

"Myriad Law Sect? What does that amount to? You think that frightens me?"

Shi Xuan halted his steps, slowly lifting the sword in his hand to point it at Xiang Mu. "I've always treated others as they treat me. You want to kill me? Then it's not excessive if I kill you."

"No—"

Before Xiang Mu could even finish begging for mercy, a sword-light pierced through his body. He collapsed lifelessly to the ground.

Shi Xuan casually drove the sword into the ground beside Liang Yi, saying indifferently, "Can you still stand? If so, get up and clean this mess. Finish off those fellows—leave just one alive to carry word back to their sect."

"Yes."

Enduring the searing pain through his body, Liang Yi slowly stood, drew the sword from the ground, and struck down the fallen disciples of the Myriad Law Sect one by one, sparing only one survivor to flee.

He did not ask why Shi Xuan left someone alive. In his eyes, such a strong figure had no need to fear the protection of the Myriad Law Sect.

Moments later, an aura of the Heavenly Origin Realm descended, accompanied by a furious voice.

"Who killed my Myriad Law Sect disciples?"

The thunderous shout startled cultivators across dozens of miles.

A Heavenly Origin expert was a first-class powerhouse within Boundary Mountain. After all, cultivators at the Spirit Nurturing Realm already served as leaders of many great forces here.

In an instant, countless gazes locked on the streamside where Chu Feng and his group camped. Some cultivators even appeared around them.

When they saw a robed elder of the Myriad Law Sect arrive, voices of discussion spread among the crowd.

"How bold—daring to kill disciples of the Myriad Law Sect."

"I heard this time the sect even dispatched a Spirit Nurturing powerhouse. These fellows are in serious trouble."

But to everyone's surprise, the three youths were each calmly occupied with their own affairs, completely ignoring the Myriad Law Sect elder.

Contempt. Naked contempt.

The elder's fury only deepened.

He said coldly, "No one will admit it? Then I'll consider that all of you killed my sect's disciples."

"So what if we did? So what if we didn't?"

Shi Xuan slowly lifted his head, looking at the elder without the slightest concern.

"Then naturally I'll kill all of you arrogant fools."

The elder's hand produced a staff, and as it appeared, his aura surged.

Shi Xuan's lips curved upward. He calmly raised one hand, and a mysterious character formed in his palm.

The cultivators present stared in confusion.

They had never seen such a symbol before. Somehow, it gave them an unsettling sense of unfathomable depth.

"Hmph!"

The Myriad Law Sect elder snorted. "Boy, don't think cheap tricks will frighten me."

Shi Xuan casually crushed the character, smiling faintly. "I told you already—I can see through the technique you're about to use. Do you believe me?"

The words left everyone stunned, their faces twisting into strange expressions.

"This kid is eerie."

"Who cares? He can't think that little trick will stop a Heavenly Origin elder, can he?"

The elder narrowed his eyes, sneering.

"Boy, such petty deception. Very well, let's see how you withstand my Thunder of the Heavens!"

He raised his staff overhead and shouted, "Lightning, descend!"

The words carried power. Thunder split the sky, a bolt flashing down with a deafening crack, striking directly at Shi Xuan.

It's over.

That thought flashed through the minds of all who watched.

Then, to their shock, Shi Xuan calmly lifted his hand and caught the thunderbolt with ease.

Silence. Absolute silence.

The crowd stared, dumbstruck. Some rubbed their eyes, doubting their senses.

Crackle… crackle…

The thunder hissed and sizzled in Shi Xuan's hand, pulling everyone back to reality.

"You… how did you do that?"

The elder stammered.

Shi Xuan waved his hand lightly, dispersing the thunder into nothing. Playing with a seal in his hand, he smiled. "I told you, I'd already seen through your technique. Why didn't you believe me?"

Those words planted a terrifying thought in everyone's minds.

Could this young man really foresee what technique others would use?

If so, he was truly monstrous.

The elder of the Myriad Law Sect muttered, "You… what are you?"
