After escaping the ghost town away from the night ghost, we arrived at a place that has most of the area covered in beautiful flowers of different kinds.
Each with their own unique smell that can make someone smell their trouble away. Butterflies fly everywhere making the view even more resplendent. The ray of the work sunshine spread its bright light like a phoenix wings all around, illuminating and brightening the glory and beauty of the field.
Enough with that!
"What vibe is this place giving?" Aqueon asked as he was brushing his hand through the flower and providing them water.
"Dangerous beauty?" Reece responded in a questioning tone while everyone bursted into laughter.
"Don't mind them. You're paranoid nard just like me. Welcome to my world," I whispered in his ear and he just chuckled.
"Alice in wonderland," I heard Pashina answer, but it seemed like the original person that asked the question didn't know what Pashina was blabbering about.
"I don't know what you're talking about but I'd call it wond... wait, where's Galeon?"
Aqueon's sudden awareness of the missing sibling made all of us to be alert. It was like Galeon just vanished from everyone's presence.
"Over there!" Reecer exclaimed, pointing at the almost half swallow Galeon by a giant mutant flower. Galeon was still wiggling his legs signifying he was alive. Ember charge at the monster with speed, generating swords made of pure burning fire. She cut the mutant flower from the bottom before freeing her brother who looked terrified from being eaten alive.
"I thought I was dead already. I was screaming my ass but none seemed to notice," he said while he was calming down.
"It's just one and it was dealt with already," but Ember spoke too soon as the other mutated flowers emerged among other normal flowers.
"You were saying?"
What was meant to be a wonderland has now turned into a flower predator. Ironic. And as usual, we clash with the new enemies.
We ran blindly like a mouse getting away from a cat. Another one of the flowers emerged ahead of me and I swiftly drifted away from its path. I looked to my right to witness Reecer doing her tentacles cool things, Pashina leaped high as usual landing on top of one of the flower monsters crushing it with his super strength. He made a victory pose before he got himself smashed by another one without warning. His left hand was bit off, blood gushing out like a burst pipe. Pashina, grinning widely knowing he would heal from the injury any moment, made a devastating blow to the flower that was holding him, tearing its head off.
"I am the liability. I am the liability. I am the liability," I kept repeating as I was trying to dodge the monster.
Another one landed before, making a loud screeching sound to my face. "Huh? Ahhhh!" I took to my heels again. "Help me!" I shouted running towards my comrade before Reecer came to interfere. "I don't know what to do! I feel totally useless this time!"
"Don't engage them. Just find somewhere to hide," she ordered. That does sound right. I'm not going to hide like some sort of weakening.
"Then you will end up dead!" It was Reece yelling from where he was hiding behind some normal flowers.
"Wait, how did you know what I was thinking? Are you in my head the whole time?" I asked as I ran towards him to hide.
"Your thoughts are louder than talking and no, I was not in your head," he responded.
From where we were we saw the Elemental Siblings doing incredible things with their element powers. As Ember smoked them through with her hellfire sword, Aqueon was shooting them with ice arrows while Galeon not doing much but just levitating the monsters and throwing them away, which wasn't as effective as the others. Hala was basically doing multiple clones of herself to destroy one of the flowers.
There were 4 of them left, one for each person;the siblings had to take care of one all by themselves while Pashina, Reecer and Hala had one for themselves also.
"Can't you do anything aside from mind reading?" I asked, turning to Reece.
"I can do more than that. I can brain blast but I don't know how. It just happened and anytime I brain blast, I don't get myself for sometime," he explained before we had a monster show up behind us.
"Oh, damn!" I muttered. "Run, Reece. Run now!" I told the boy and he did as I told him to. The monster didn't chase him, it remained still as we gaze at each other like a long time nemesis. "You want to eat something? Eat m..." And so I was swallowed without finishing my statements.
BOOM!
I screamed as the petals snapped shut around me like the jaws of a beast. Darkness engulfed me—damp, humid, and pulsing with an unnatural rhythm. The scent of rotting sweetness filled my nose as I tumbled down the slick, pulsing throat of the monstrous flower.
I landed hard in a fleshy chamber lined with glowing, veiny walls. The interior churned like a living stomach, filled with thick, luminous sap that clung to my skin like glue. I tried to move—tried to scream again—but the air was heavy, vibrating with a low, alien hum.
I was trapped.
And yet… something was happening to me.
Then came the pain as the flower's energy invaded me. My body felt like it was being pulled apart and put back together all at once. Muscles burned, nerves fired, and then—clarity. A warmth erupted in my chest, surging like a second heartbeat. Something was awakening deep inside of me.
"What... is this?" I whispered.
A voice pressed against my mind. Not words, but meaning.
"YOU HAVE BEEN CHOSEN." It said before it disappeared in my head
At that moment I felt Power rushed through my limbs, my blood, the entire system of mine. My eyes snapped open, glowing faintly green in the pulsing dark.
The power I was feeling... It was a lot... too much for me to comprehend.
With a primal yell, I deep my hand from within digging my way out of the floor inner chamber with ease. It was like tearing through a soaked cardboard paper. Whatever I was feeling right now made me look like I was the Earth like eggshell.
Outside, the others saw the giant flower quiver, its petals twitching—and then, with a blinding burst of green-white energy, it exploded from the inside out. And in the smoking crater at the center I stood—breathing hard, eyes glowing, and something new coursing through my veins.
Everyone looking had the unexplainable expression on and their mouth was wide agape.
"What the fuck just happened?" Reece suddenly asks.
