"Harry!" Adrian shouted, quickly walking to Harry's side and placing a hand on his shoulder. "Close your eyes."
"Why—"
Before Harry could finish speaking, he felt a sudden sensation of being turned inside out.
After the Apparition, Adrian and Harry appeared outside the shop.
Fortunately, the shop was in a secluded location. Only a middle-aged man stood on the street with his back to them, smoking a cigarette. The two people who had appeared out of thin air didn't attract his attention.
Since the Apparition distance was relatively short, Harry wasn't feeling too unwell, just a bit startled.
Still shaken, he grabbed Adrian's arm and asked, "What's wrong, professor?"
Adrian didn't answer Harry's question, instead stared intently at the shop.
Suddenly, a muffled rumbling sound came from the previously quiet shop.
Harry nearly jumped in alarm. Then, the entire building began to shake violently. Adrian felt it might collapse at any moment.
In the next second, the glass windows exploded, and the wooden door flew out, crashing heavily next to the smoking man with a loud "BANG!"
"!"
The man was so frightened that he dropped his cigarette and turned his head toward Adrian.
"What happened?!" he shouted.
Adrian gave him an awkward smile, then took out his wand and waved it at him.
"Wait..."
Before the passerby could finish speaking, he was hit by Adrian's spell. Don't worry though, the spell Adrian cast wouldn't harm his body. It would only make him feel a bit fuzzy in the head.
After dealing with the passerby, Adrian turned his attention back to the shop.
A series of muffled "crack" sounds came from inside. The walls were being pushed apart by something, with wood and bricks making sounds of unbearable strain.
Looking through the window, one could only see patches of green.
Harry stared in disbelief at the scene. The originally small shop was being stretched to the breaking point by the enormous body of the Chomping Cabbage.
The Chomping Cabbage's leaves had grown immensely large, completely destroying the ceiling of the shop as they pushed through it.
Cracks had appeared in the surrounding walls.
This was truly a "gigantification"...
Adrian's mouth twitched as he sighed helplessly.
Troublesome matters had emerged again. If nothing else, this house would definitely be uninhabitable now.
Adrian slowly walked toward the shop, lightly waving his wand to disperse the dust and debris in the air.
As he approached, the Chomping Cabbage's previously enormous body suddenly seemed to lose all its strength, deflating like a punctured balloon.
It emitted a low humming sound as its massive body rapidly shrank. Even its stem curled up into a ball, quickly returning to its original size.
Harry carefully followed behind Adrian. Seeing the transformation of the Chomping Cabbage, he blinked in confusion: "Uh... why did it suddenly stop causing trouble?"
"Probably because it ran out of magical energy," Adrian picked up the Chomping Cabbage and handed it back to Harry. "This thing's gigantification is temporary and can't be maintained for long."
Harry took the Chomping Cabbage and gently poked its mouth.
The Chomping Cabbage's leaves stirred slightly, but it had none of its previous vigor. It didn't even have the strength to bite, lying in Harry's arms like a wilted little dog.
Adrian slowly shook his head and raised a hand to his temple.
Although the Chomping Cabbage's "gigantification" looked impressive, it had only lasted for about three seconds.
"Now we need to think about how to deal with this," Adrian said resignedly.
Harry looked back at the scene of destruction, feeling somewhat concerned.
Fortunately, the house had only suffered physical damage, which could be fixed with a few repair spells.
"Reparo."
Adrian waved his wand, and under his command, the shattered glass reassembled, the overturned roof returned to its original state, and even the door that had flown far away returned to its place.
It took only about ten seconds for the house to be largely restored.
But the potted plants and potions inside would require Adrian to sort through one by one.
Harry watched the scene before him, swallowing nervously. He looked down at the Chomping Cabbage in his arms and cautiously asked, "Did I cause trouble?"
Adrian turned to look at Harry, seeing his anxious expression. He couldn't help but laugh softly and patted Harry's shoulder.
"Don't worry, Harry. This isn't your fault. No one could have predicted the Chomping Cabbage would suddenly do this."
Harry's expression relaxed a little.
At that moment, the door to the greenhouse suddenly opened—that door had been specially reinforced by Adrian and hadn't been damaged by the Chomping Cabbage.
Lupin walked out from inside.
When he saw the devastated shop, he was taken aback.
"What happened?" he asked puzzledly. "Was there an earthquake?"
Adrian and Harry exchanged a glance.
"No," Adrian shook his head and replied, "Nothing happened, but since you're here, help me clean up the shop."
With that, Adrian pushed open the door and left the shop. Leaving behind a thoroughly confused Lupin.
For Adrian, damaging the house was a minor issue. The real trouble was yet to come.
With such a commotion, even though this place was relatively secluded with few people around, someone would inevitably have seen what happened.
As Adrian had anticipated, he saw many passing Muggles in the vicinity. To be safe, he casted an Obliviate charm on every person he saw.
...
In the end, the incident was discovered. However, it wasn't discovered by Muggles, but by the Ministry of Magic.
It was probably because the magical trace left by the Chomping Cabbage's gigantification was too obvious.
After just half a day, the Ministry of Magic received reports of "abnormal magical energy reactions in the Muggle world."
Because Adrian was the only wizard in the area, the Ministry's investigators quickly identified him as the suspect.
That evening, the Ministry's Accidental Magic Reversal Squad investigated for a long time around Adrian's plant shop.
Adrian had initially planned to deny everything, but the investigator simply showed him a photograph that left him speechless.
The photo showed the scene of the Chomping Cabbage growing large and breaking through the house.
However, due to the angle, the Chomping Cabbage itself wasn't directly visible in the photo.
Now there was no way to deny it.
"How did you take this photo?" Adrian curiously asked the investigator before him.
Perhaps because the investigation had gone smoothly, the investigator was in a good mood and even had the leisure to answer Adrian's question.
"Just a simple retroactive magic spell," he said. "Of course, the average person won't be able to access and learn it."
