The night was deep and quiet.

On a chilly evening, Jacob and Raya sat facing each other, their faces slightly flushed.

Both had a little to drink, but only a taste. They both knew their limits—just a slight tipsiness, the perfect state.

At this moment, whether it was Jacob or Raya, their eyes were clear and bright.

"Heavenly King Raya, now you can tell me what Pokémon you want to catch, right?" Jacob said, his tone half-joking.

Jacob had thought about it carefully after their last meeting. He guessed that the Pokémon Raya wanted to capture was very likely Darkrai.

Because the Pokémon Raya wanted to use the Prison Bottle to capture must be either a Ghost-type or Dark-type.

In recent years, the most famous Legendary Pokémon of these two types had been Darkrai. The Darkrai that escaped from the Nightmare Secret Realm had not been captured even now.

Listening to Jacob's question, Raya reached out her delicate hand to let down the hair that was tied up behind her head, gently shaking her head. Her hair swayed like waves behind her.

A young girl was alluring, but Aunt Raya was soul-stirring.

Raya smiled and looked at Jacob. "Jacob, I know you've never fully believed me. And I also don't completely trust you."

"I'm actually very curious—why have you always been so wary of me?"

Meeting Raya's gentle gaze, Jacob frowned slightly. He was silent for a moment before speaking. "Heavenly King Raya, it's because you're too clever. Besides, trust between people isn't built overnight or with a few words."

These were Jacob's true feelings. Although there had been no conflicts in his cooperation with Raya, he just found it very difficult to trust her.

Listening to Jacob's words, the smile on Raya's face faded. She remained silent, looking out the window, lost in thought.

"I also want to find someone I can trust, but unfortunately, the human heart is the hardest thing to see through in this world."

Raya's words seemed to be directed at Jacob, and also like she was talking to herself.

After saying this, Raya's gaze passed through the window and fell on the solitary street lamp outside.

After a few breaths, Raya suddenly chuckled softly, then leaned back in her chair in a lazy posture, inadvertently revealing her calves beneath her long dress. Her face was slightly flushed, and her eyes appeared hazy as she looked at Jacob. "Jacob, I sincerely want to cooperate with you. Taking advantage of this rare opportunity today, we can have a good talk."

Raya's eyes were bright, and her gaze at Jacob was penetrating. "Jacob, we have never been enemies. We have never been enemies all along."

Jacob listened to Raya's words, his gaze falling on Raya's elegant figure. Today, Raya was already dressed beautifully, and after a little wine, she was even more captivating, with a unique charm.

Swallowing hard, Jacob struggled to shift his gaze from Raya's figure to her face. "Heavenly King Raya, we were never enemies. We have always been collaborators..."

"Jacob," Raya said, waving her hand and directly interrupting his words. "There's no need for those empty and polite words."

Raya's tone seemed a little resentful. She leaned closer to Jacob, her bright eyes looking at him intently. "Your attitude toward cooperation with the Long family is completely different from your attitude toward cooperation with me. I don't expect you to favor me more—I just hope you can be fair."

"Whatever conditions the Long family can offer you, I can offer, and I can even offer you more."

You really can't give me that. Nina is my girlfriend.

Jacob leaned back, slightly increasing the distance between himself and Raya. They had been too close just now—at a distance where mistakes could easily happen.

"Heavenly King Raya."

"Don't call me Heavenly King Raya. Call me Aunt Raya."

"Aunt Raya..." Jacob took a deep breath, looking calmly at Raya, his tone steady. "I have always communicated with you with a cooperative attitude, but you have always been vague about the purpose of the Prison Bottle."

"If you are truly sincere about cooperating, let's have a truly frank discussion."

"Okay," Raya said. Listening to Jacob's words, she nodded without hesitation, then picked up the wine glass on the table and drank it all, as if to embolden herself.

"I guess you've already guessed my identity," Raya said, looking at Jacob with piercing eyes, her voice gentle. "Besides being a Heavenly King, I am also a reserve member of the God's Coffin. That's why I know so much about the inner workings of the God's Coffin."

"Then what Pokémon are you going to catch this time?" Jacob looked at Raya and pressed on.

"What do you think?" Raya suddenly showed a playful expression, looking at Jacob. "With your intelligence, you should be able to guess."

"Darkrai, right?" Jacob asked.

Raya smiled bitterly, looking at Jacob. "As expected, I couldn't hide it from you. Now that I've told you the purpose of the Prison Bottle, I've shown enough sincerity."

"Jacob, as long as I capture Darkrai, I can become a full member of the God's Coffin. At that time, I can recommend a reserve member to the God's Coffin, and I will recommend you."

"The benefits of joining the God's Coffin are beyond your imagination. Everyone in the God's Coffin is an outstanding individual from their respective countries. They have access to vast resources and know many secrets that outsiders don't—such as Arceus's Plates, as well as Secret Realms, and the whereabouts of Legendary Pokémon."

"As long as you help me capture Darkrai this time, I will owe you a favor. And next time you want to capture a Legendary Pokémon, I will help you unconditionally."

After listening to Raya's words, Jacob suddenly found it a little amusing.

Were Legendary Pokémon very precious?

He already had a Diancie, and if he was a bit more ruthless, he could immediately replicate another Diancie, directly having two Legendary Pokémon in hand.

Jacob crossed his legs, resting his hands on the armrests of the chair, looking at Raya in a relaxed and comfortable posture. "I have no interest in the benefits of joining the God's Coffin that you mentioned."

"And now that I know your plan, I can completely go it alone without you."

Jacob was still speaking when he suddenly saw Raya lean close to him, her eyes seemingly filled with clear water, her small nose and long eyelashes clearly visible. "You wouldn't do that, would you, Jacob?"

"This is the first time I've actively wanted to trust someone. You won't disappoint me, right?"

The more she spoke, the closer Raya leaned, forcing Jacob to get up and create some distance.

"I can lend you the Prison Bottle to help you capture Darkrai, but one condition isn't enough. You must agree to two conditions."

"Okay," Raya said, looking at Jacob's retreating figure with a smile.

Returning to his room from the dining area, Jacob lay on the bed, a hint of coldness flashing in his eyes, his expression grim.

Although he had just agreed to help Raya, it was just a delaying tactic.

Because the Darkrai that Raya wanted to capture was the same one that Cresselia had asked him to capture.

Raya wanted to capture Darkrai, but he also had to capture Darkrai to complete Cresselia's task.

Therefore, there was an unavoidable conflict between him and Raya—one that couldn't be reconciled.

It was foreseeable that in the end, Jacob would only have two choices: either both sides would completely tear off the facade and turn hostile, or Jacob would compensate Raya in other ways.

No matter which option he chose, Jacob could only say, "I'm sorry, Aunt Raya. I can't help myself."
