But now? He had lost. And not to a Corruption Beast, or to some powerful S-rank Awakened, or something like that—but to a genius from his own generation.
Of course, there were reasons for it. Lana was a full rank above him, and she could use all her skills and the power of both of her Laws.
Meanwhile, Daniel was restricted to using only the power of the Law of Death; he couldn't even use the Eternal Bloom because of what had happened to it.
All of his skills were, for now, unusable. And more importantly, this was just a sparring match.
