The airship landed gently and then suddenly shrank down until it was small enough to fit in the palm of a hand. Daniel put it into his inventory.
The three of them, along with a fat little bird perched on Daniel's shoulder, headed toward the city gates. After paying the entrance fee, they entered the city.
It was a developed place, with beautiful houses, though most were painted in darker shades. The smell of smoke and pollution filled the air.
It looked exactly like a city from the Victorian era—an age of steam. At first sight, it was somewhat fascinating, but Daniel still preferred more ordinary cities.
The streets were fairly crowded, carriages moving back and forth, and the style of clothing worn by the people was completely different from any of the other cities he had seen.
He glanced at Ilaris, who also seemed captivated.
