Slowly, the tightness in his chest began to dissipate. Aiden's breathing was as steady as ever, but he still saw the red thread of fire magic energy coming from the ruins over there.
They had gotten the Black Roots, a sign that the mission had been completed. However, Aurora and Rachel looked extremely exhausted from the dragon battle.
Aiden looked up at the sky, seeing that it was almost night, it wouldn't be good if they returned today.
"Are you alright?" asked Aurora, anxious to see Aiden on his knees clutching his tight chest.
Aiden smiled, he responded by shaking his head, saying he was completely fine. Aurora nodded in reply, helping Aiden to his feet.
"We should find a safe place to stay tonight," Aiden explained, standing up with Aurora's arms around his neck.
"Wouldn't it be better if we left now before it's too late? Aurora can take you and Rachel," Fiona explained, pointing at Aurora.
