XANDER
He heard her voice and hurried out of the room, his steps faltering when he saw Alec holding her from falling. There was a pause between the two of them and the feeling that sprang up his chest wasn't something he wanted to experience.
Becoming aware of his presence, Alec looked at him as he helped Iris back to her feet. Approaching them without taking his eyes off him, Xander pulled her away from him and to his side before accepting the handshake the other guy had extended.
"It's good to see you're all healed up, I came as soon as I heard." He said, pulling myself together.
As he nodded his head in acknowledgement to Alec's statement, he felt her move against him, causing his hand to drop from her shoulder. When he looked down at her, to make sure she was okay, she stepped out of his grasp, sparing a brief look in Alex's direction while walking away.
