Chapter 352 - Chapter 353: Can I Say This Was an Accident?

At this moment, even with a powerful enemy right in front of him, Aiden still began to let his thoughts wander. Luck always seemed to give him "unexpected benefits" at the strangest times.

And all of this happened within just a few seconds. Their opponents were also momentarily stunned by the sight and forgot to attack. For an instant, time itself seemed to freeze.

"This kid's got some serious luck with women, huh!"

After a moment, even Mr. Big muttered under his breath.

Shermie heard it. Though she tended to act a little flirtatious sometimes, that usually only showed in her outfits or casual banter. In a situation like this, even the most forward person would find it unbearable.

Besides, she felt Aiden move his head slightly.

'He saw. He definitely saw everything.'

Shermie trembled all over, her agitation causing a certain power within her body to stir. A terrifying aura leaked from her, though she didn't even notice it.

Just as she was about to stand up, a few screams echoed from outside the door. A mature woman with exquisite makeup rushed in, it was the latecomer, Helena.

The moment Helena entered, she frantically searched the room, shouting, "Aiden, where are you?"

At that time, Aiden was struggling under an "irresistible weight." Hearing her voice, his first instinct was to get up, but Shermie was practically sitting on his head. If he stood, he'd end up flipping her over. So he could only muffledly respond from beneath her skirt, "I'm here."

Hearing his voice, Helena immediately turned toward it. Then, with trembling fingers, she pointed at Shermie. "What are you doing to him?"

To the latecomer Helena, the scene before her looked more like Shermie using some bizarre combat technique to humiliate Aiden.

She simply couldn't believe all this was just coincidence and accident. There was no way she'd think they did it on purpose. No matter how strong one's desires were, no one would do something so indecent at a time and place like this.

Hearing her voice, Shermie's reaction was even more frantic than Aiden's. She jumped up in panic and hurriedly explained, "It's not what you think!"

Freed at last, Aiden climbed to his feet, first taking a deep breath, he hadn't dared breathe too hard under Shermie's skirt. Then, wearing a helplessly awkward expression, he said to Helena, "Can I say this was an accident?"

Neither of them knew why they were explaining themselves, but if they didn't now, it would probably be impossible to explain later.

Helena, however, looked at the two of them suspiciously, her eyes darting back and forth as if searching for clues on their faces.

Aiden still looked relatively composed. After all, he'd been through plenty of battles. Apart from mild embarrassment and a twinge of guilt, his expression stayed mostly normal.

Shermie, on the other hand, well, with a thousand years of experience behind it, was already bright red. Whether from shyness or anger, or both, was unclear, though in this case, it was mostly shyness. Especially under Helena's stare, she quickly lowered her head.

Then she suddenly raised it again, thinking, 'Wait a minute! I didn't do anything wrong, I'm the victim here!'

She'd only ended up in that position because Aiden tripped her.

So she lifted her chin and met Helena's gaze confidently, her face saying, 'I'm innocent.'

Seeing that look, Helena's eyes widened in disbelief. She couldn't believe this woman could be that shameless.

At first, seeing Shermie's red face, she thought it was just a misunderstanding, but now, it didn't seem that way anymore.

Before their tense standoff could go any further, a deafening explosion interrupted them.

Billy and King, still fighting, had gone all out. Their explosive energy techniques were being thrown around recklessly now, Tornado Kick versus Flaming Chasing Staff. Viper Strike versus Assaulting Flying Staff.

The true destructive power of professional fighters was on full display. What started as a bar brawl was now turning into a building demolition.

That loud boom from before? It was from their energy clash tearing down an entire wall.

At that moment, not only Aiden, Helena, and Shermie, but even the big wrestler and Mr. Big, who had been spectating, snapped back to attention. The fight wasn't over yet.

"What a shame. I thought we'd get to see a good show," Mr. Big muttered again before twirling his metal baton and rushing toward Aiden.

The wrestler charged back at Shermie, and to her and Aiden's surprise, so did Helena.

Seeing this, Aiden shouted in panic, "No, no, Helena! She's not the enemy!"

"Hey, hey, hey! Maybe check your target before attacking next time? Didn't you see that guy's already having trouble, uh, holding on?" Shermie, still not knowing Aiden's name, simply called him "that guy."

Then she thought bitterly, 'Great. I ended up having close contact with a man whose name I don't even know. I should've left Europe sooner, ever since that guy showed up, my luck's been awful.'

Hearing both of them, Helena hesitated for a moment, but her kick was already in motion. She couldn't stop it completely, though she managed to pull back most of her power. Her foot only made Shermie stumble back a few steps.

"You hurt me," Shermie said, glaring at her. Even so, her voice was still irresistibly sweet, making Helena frown.

If she had spent ten days in Aiden's world, she'd probably call her a damn vixen.

But in truth, Shermie's voice wasn't fake at all.

"Sorry. It was an accident," Helena muttered without any sincerity, turned around, and went to help Aiden.

"Unbelievable!"

Shermie, of course, wouldn't accept such a half-hearted apology. She glared daggers at Helena's back. If they weren't in the middle of a crisis, she would've dragged Helena into a proper argument.

Meanwhile, Aiden finally breathed a sigh of relief with Helena's help.

Helena excelled in close-quarters combat. As a proper martial artist, she could also use "energy bursts."

In that state, her physical abilities were greatly enhanced. Despite looking like a delicate upper-class lady, she could go blow-for-blow with Mr. Big's metal bat, and even gain the upper hand at times.

Though anyone could tell her combat experience was far less than his, her talent was undeniable. Victory was only a matter of time.

By now, the bar fight had reached its climax. Explosive techniques had reduced the place to rubble, only one wall still stood, and even that one was full of gaping holes.

But this wasn't some martial arts world like The Ravages of Time. Their battle had already terrified the surrounding residents, who were flooding the police with calls.

Before long, sirens blared in the distance. As the sound grew closer, both sides tacitly stopped fighting and stared each other down across the ruins.

Billy shot King a venomous glare before saying to the wrestler and Mr. Big, "We're leaving."

"What about them?" Mr. Big asked, glancing at the groaning, unconscious thugs on the ground.

"Mr. Geese will send someone to bail them out," Billy said coldly, then slung his staff over his shoulder and left.

Behind him, the wrestler and Mr. Big exchanged a silent nod before following.

Seeing them go, Aiden and the others made no move to pursue. Aside from King, the other three had been dragged into the fight for no real reason, no point in fighting to the death.

"Aiden, let's get out of here too."

Looking at the flashing police lights outside, Helena spoke nervously. She had sneaked out tonight and definitely didn't want to get caught and have her father pick her up from the station.

Aiden didn't answer. He just turned to King.

"King," he said softly.

"You guys go. I'll deal with the police." After Billy and the others left, King collapsed to the ground, staring miserably at her ruined bar. With a weak wave of her hand, she said, "Go on."

Aiden knew how upset she must be. The bar might've been small, but she'd poured all her Southtown earnings into it, and had hoped to use the profits to pay for her brother's treatment.

But this wasn't the time for sympathy. Police cars were already surrounding the area. Aiden could only say, "I'm staying at XX Hotel. Once this is all sorted, come find me there."

"Okay." King nodded, hope rekindling in her eyes.

Then Aiden and Helena left the bar, and after hesitating a moment, Shermie followed them out.

Outside the bar, a dozen police cars had already gathered. But seeing the destruction, not a single officer dared approach. Fighters might seem mysterious to civilians, but to military and law enforcement, they were known, and feared, for their overwhelming power.

So, the trio slipped away easily, unnoticed. They didn't stop until they'd crossed two streets.

"Whew…"

As soon as they stopped, Helena gasped for breath. As a well-behaved daughter of a wealthy family, this had been her first real fight against opponents of equal strength, and she was still exhilarated.

Seeing the usually composed Helena so excited, Aiden bought a few bottles of water from a vending machine to help her cool off.

"Here, Helena. Have some water." Aiden kindly opened a bottle and handed it to her.

After a grateful "thank you" from Helena, he tossed another bottle to Shermie.

Shermie caught it with one hand, frowned, and said, "A little biased, don't you think?"

Aiden blinked, then realized what she meant. Shrugging, he said, "You can open it yourself."

"But there are two ladies here, and you only opened one bottle," Shermie said, tossing the bottle back. "If you don't open it, I'm not drinking."

"Then don't drink," Helena said flatly. A few gulps of water later, her excitement had mostly worn off, and she immediately snapped back.

Shermie ignored her, keeping her sweet smile fixed on Aiden.

Shermie was beautiful, and when she smiled, it was even more captivating, but remembering what had just happened, Aiden felt a pang of guilt. With an awkward laugh, he opened the bottle and handed it to her.
