Chapter 116: The Head-Pressing Squad Captain
The soft lips pressed against his own, the mellow aroma of red wine and a unique medicinal scent flooding his senses, spreading from the tip of his tongue throughout his mouth. Although Natasha appeared so graceful and charming, with every movement exuding the allure of a mature woman, her experience in this area seemed to be severely lacking. Even the hands holding Caelus's cheeks grew stiff during the kiss.
Caelus unceremoniously wrapped his arms around the gray-haired beauty's soft, serpentine waistline. The tingling sensation from the warm touch on her waist made Natasha's kissing motion freeze for a moment, and a muffled whimper escaped her lips. The light moan of the mature older sister was like a siren's call, making Caelus's breath instantly turn hot.
This was a physical reaction strong enough to trigger their shared senses! But Caelus had no time to worry about the Stellaron spirit right now.
She had disturbed him for several nights, making him miss his chance to explore Raven's model. Now that Natasha was taking the initiative, how could he let Stelle hold him back?
With Caelus taking the lead, soon... a somewhat dazed Natasha realized just what she had done.
The long kiss came to an end.
Her fair cheeks were flushed with an alluring pink from the tipsiness, her eyes misty, her rose-red pupils filled with a hazy glow. Natasha took a half-step back, putting a little distance between herself and Caelus. The mist in her eyes quickly cleared, making it seem as if nothing had happened.
"I'm sorry, I just remembered I have a patient whose injuries I need to attend to. I have to leave for a bit."
With that, Natasha quickly turned around amidst Caelus's stunned expression and left with steady steps. It wasn't until she was inside and had closed the door behind her that her expression and gait showed a hint of panic.
As an intelligent and mature older sister, a rational and steady adult, Natasha had spent many years in both the Overworld and the Underworld, handling all sorts of interpersonal relationships with ease. What kind of big scene hadn't she witnessed? All she had done was, in a tipsy, ambiguous atmosphere, her mind blank from the alcohol, forcefully kissed Caelus, who looked ten years younger than her.
Although that kiss was one Dr. Natasha had saved until now, was it really a big deal for her? No, the point wasn't the first kiss! Her first kiss wasn't that valuable. It couldn't be exchanged for the magical food that could fill the stomachs of everyone in the Underworld and give people hope. But after kissing him, Natasha did feel a little regret.
She didn't know if Caelus was joking or being serious when he talked about paying back the rich woman with his body. Regardless of the truth, kissing a hero as a form of thanks was acceptable. The Underworld had nothing of equal value to repay Caelus with. This was her insignificant repayment as the leader of Wildfire.
It was just... Natasha was afraid Caelus would misunderstand. Although Natasha's favorability of Caelus was indeed high, it was of a different nature, and besides...
"I'm already in my thirties..."
That kiss had touched something in Natasha's heart that she thought she had long forgotten. In her youth, she was busy studying medicine, waiting to inherit the family practice and become an outstanding doctor in the Overworld. She had no time or energy for romance like other girls. When she had completed her studies, she ended up staying in the Underworld for various reasons, and she had been there for over a decade. While fulfilling her duty as a doctor, she had also single-handedly organized the armed revolutionary group Wildfire, painstakingly maintaining the stability of the entire Underworld. She had even less time and energy to consider matters of the heart. In the blink of an eye, she was in her thirties.
"Phew—he didn't follow me. Thank goodness..."
As she quickly descended the stairs, Natasha glanced back and saw that Caelus hadn't followed her. She let out a long sigh of relief.
"No one saw that, right?"
With the residual warmth on her chest, Natasha straightened her messy collar, her expression worried. I'm an auntie in my thirties, and Caelus looks about the same age as Seele. If someone saw and misunderstood that I was a cougar preying on a younger man, it would be so embarrassing.
The thought of being seen made Natasha panic.
"Everyone's focused on the victory banquet. No one should have noticed the third-floor balcony. Besides, the only light on the balcony was the small table lamp, and it was very dim."
Rationally analyzing the situation, Natasha felt that the possibility of being seen was low. Her cheeks were flushed. Having never drunk that kind of red wine before, Natasha was probably genuinely a little drunk. A cougar preying on a younger man...
Natasha quickly patted her cheeks to calm herself down, murmuring, "Natasha, now is not the time to be thinking about these things."
The Underworld had reached a turning point, but the suffering was not over. Matters of the heart could wait until everything had settled.
Third floor, rooftop.
Caelus licked the remaining wine from his lips, smacking them as he savored the slightly different taste of the red wine. A pleased curve appeared on his lips.
"This feeling... isn't bad either." Kissing someone other than himself.
Caelus could roughly guess Natasha's state of mind behind that kiss, so he didn't chase after her to ask. The fun was just beginning.
It was just that...
"Seems like I overdid it a little."
Caelus held the glass, swirling the crimson liquid inside. He cast his gaze down toward the victory banquet in the small square below, his eyes meeting that other pair of golden ones.
"You've got some nerve, Caelus!"
Just from the eye contact, Caelus could read these words in Stelle's eyes through their shared understanding. Caelus blinked innocently. Setting aside Raven and Silverwing, for tonight's events, it was the kind and gentle Big Sister Natasha who made the first move!
Stelle put one hand on her hip, her expression suddenly turning fierce. She pointed at Caelus from a great distance.
"You just wait!"
Reading this from her gesture, Caelus saw Stelle abandon March 7th to face the Moles alone and charge furiously toward Natasha's clinic. Caelus remained unfazed, calmly taking a sip of his wine. A mere Stellaron spirit couldn't turn the world upside down.
Compared to Stelle's reaction, the scene over there was much more fun!
Caelus shifted his gaze, sweeping over the long table filled with various mushroom dishes, and glanced toward a certain corner, unable to suppress the smile on his lips.
A few minutes earlier.
After explaining the power of Black Abyss and White Flower to Dan Heng, Seele left the clinic and came to a corner of the banquet. Although she was the one who had used the power of creation to ripen the mushrooms, she had deliberately kept a low profile, giving all the credit to Caelus. This prevented the residents from becoming so enthusiastic toward her that she couldn't have any fun.
"Big Sister, try this. It's an eight-treasure porridge-flavored mushroom soup."
Seele scooped up a small spoonful of the steaming mushroom soup, her slender white hand holding the spoon to the older Seele's mouth.
"...I can eat it myself!"
It wasn't so much that she was not used to being fed, but rather that the independent older Seele had never been fed by anyone since she became self-aware. She instinctively leaned back to avoid it, but seeing Seele's expectant, sparkling, sea-like eyes, the older Seele froze. Like Black Seele being hit by White Seele's direct attack, her cheeks also turned a little red. "Alright, alright, I'll eat it."
"Mhm." A smile blooming on her face, Seele nodded. With the older Seele having elements of Black Seele, how could she possibly refuse her?
The older Seele turned her head aside and obediently opened her mouth. It looked a little awkward, until the warm soup flowed into her mouth, making her eyes widen.
So delicious!
This mushroom was truly magical! When different types were cooked together, it was unbelievably tasty!
Seele retracted the spoon, then suddenly sensed an envious gaze. She turned her head and saw Bronya, who was pretending to be seriously savoring her food, not looking at them. A slow curve appeared on her lips. Seele scooped up another spoonful. "Big Sister Bronya, you should try this mushroom soup too. It's very good!" As a little angel, she had to share the love equally~!
"Seele, I don't need... mmm."
Feeling her intentions had been discovered, Bronya's face flushed with embarrassment, but when Seele brought the spoon over, her body was very honest. Afterward, Bronya's eyes widened in surprise. Very delicious! And thinking that Seele was the one feeding her, it tasted even better!
"Big Sister, have another bite."
Very satisfied with Bronya's reaction, Seele scooped up another spoonful and offered it to the older Seele.
"Alright, alright, I'll... just one last bite."
There were many neighbors she knew from around the area. Being fed by her "little sister" in public made the older Seele feel super weird. It should have been the other way around. Her face growing redder, Seele turned her head to the other side, opened her mouth, and ate the soup Seele fed her.
However, it was because of this head turn that she was now facing the direction of Natasha's clinic. Her gaze, wandering out of embarrassment, caught the two familiar figures on the rooftop, locked in a passionate kiss.
"Pfft—!!!"
The older Seele violently spat out the mushroom soup in her mouth. Heedless of the liquid on her clothes, her eyes were filled with disbelief, her pupils shaking wildly.
Witnessing the intimate exchange between Natasha and Caelus with her own eyes, the older Seele was now completely certain. The woman in Caelus's room that night was Natasha!
"Seele? What's wrong?"
"Big... Big Sister, what's wrong?"
The older Seele's action startled Seele and Bronya, who were beside her. They both asked at once.
Seele saw the older Seele's shocked expression and the direction she was looking, and immediately realized what was happening. However, she didn't stop her. A corner of her mouth lifted for a moment, then she put on a curious expression and tilted her little head up to look at the third-floor roof.
"Did something happen over there?"
"No, nothing at all!"
Seeing Seele look up, the older Seele jolted. In an urgent tone, she raised a hand and gently pushed Seele's little head toward her chest. Natasha is the leader of Wildfire. If people saw her doing this with Caelus...
"Hmm?" Bronya was completely bewildered by their actions. "Over there?" She turned her head to look in the direction Seele had just been looking.
"I said it's nothing!"
The older Seele frantically raised her other hand, grabbed Bronya's head, and also forcefully pressed it toward her chest.
The next second, the completely oblivious Bronya's pupils suddenly constricted, as a warm sensation touched the corner of her lips.
Seele blinked. She had guessed that the older Seele would try to cover for Natasha and had only intended to tease her a bit. The older Seele's reaction was within her expectations, but this current situation... Seele had definitely not expected this.
She and Bronya were on either side of the older Seele. The result of being pressed toward the middle was, naturally, extremely close contact. Seele's soft, cherry lips pressed against the side of Bronya's face, near the corner of her mouth.
"..." Bronya was completely frozen.
Whoo-ooh! Whoo-ooh!
The sound of a whistling kettle could be heard. A fresh batch of Rand-brand Steam Engine was out of the oven!
Had the older Seele just become the captain of Seele and Bronya's head-pressing squad?
This was truly joyful!
