Chapter 142 - Chapter 141: Who Won?

As the lightning flashed and crackled, the darkness that had engulfed the area slowly began to fade. Everything around them brightened, revealing a vast, churning sea of energy.

Gojo Satoru's eyes narrowed sharply. The moment he saw the transformed surroundings, he knew—his domain, Unlimited Void, had been completely overridden. Shiro Sakamaki's domain had taken full control.

They now stood amidst a stormy sea. To the untrained eye, it looked like raging water—but Gojo knew better. That wasn't seawater—it was plasma, liquefied from the sheer concentration of thunder and lightning.

Each wave was a surge of violent energy, each crash a collision of elemental power. And deep within this sea of thunder, something stirred.

From a distance, Sayuri and the others watched in stunned silence. They couldn't comprehend what exactly was happening, but one thing was painfully clear—Shiro wasn't just strong.

He was on another level. To them, his powers looked more like those of a god than any mortal being.

Shiro and Gojo floated mid-air, standing atop the roiling thunder sea. Yet, no wave dared approach Gojo—it was as if even the chaos obeyed Shiro's will.

"Give it up, Gojo," Shiro said calmly. "You have no chance of winning in my domain."

Not far off, Eriri couldn't help but roll her eyes. "Why does he sound like a final boss now? Way to set yourself up for a jinx…"

But this wasn't a drama. It was a clash of titans. And even with the odds stacked against him, Gojo Satoru refused to go down quietly.

"You're right," he said, cracking a smile. "But surrendering before I've fought to the end? That's just not my style."

"I'm supposed to be the strongest, remember?"

As he spoke, a thin translucent veil began to shimmer around Gojo's body.

Simple Domain – Yin Style.

In an instant, Shiro's sure-hit effect lost its bite. Within the radius of the simple domain, Gojo had created a sliver of freedom—just enough to disrupt the auto-hit mechanics of Shiro's domain. The oppressive energy dulled for a moment.

Shiro's eyes narrowed, impressed.

"Using Yin Style to cancel the sure-hit? You're more resourceful than I expected."

"You're not the only one who's been training," Gojo replied.

The next second, Gojo blurred forward. He struck with Domain Amplification, his cursed energy cloaked tightly around him, neutralizing Shiro's technique momentarily with every clash.

Shiro countered quickly, his control over the domain guiding bolts of thunder to intercept Gojo's trajectory. The ocean of plasma below them erupted upward in spikes of searing lightning.

Gojo dodged narrowly, sweat beading on his forehead.

A wave of Shiro's hand and a lightning pillar shot up, grazing Gojo's shoulder. He retaliated with Cursed Technique Reversal: Red, blasting apart the terrain and sending a shockwave tearing across the thunder sea.

The battlefield was now chaos. The sea stormed, the sky cracked, and cursed energy battled thunder in a beautiful, destructive waltz.

Seeing a chance, Shiro gathered energy in his palm, forming a massive thunderclap orb.

Gojo responded immediately—Hollow Purple.

He combined Cursed Technique Lapse: Blue and Reversal: Red, manifesting the singularity in front of him. The swirling purple orb devoured even the lightning around it as it raced toward Shiro.

Shiro didn't back down. He sent his own beam of condensed thunder plasma to meet it. The two titanic forces collided midair, shaking the entire domain.

A thunderous shockwave tore through the sky.

The air cracked.

Space trembled.

Both fighters held firm, pouring energy into their respective attacks. Neither yielding.

For a moment—it was even.

Then—

BOOM!

The surface of the Thunder Sea exploded.

A massive green fish head burst from beneath, its scales crackling with thunder. Though it revealed only its head, it was mountain-sized, dwarfing both combatants.

Its gaping mouth opened, rows of jagged fangs gleaming, and it swallowed both attacks—Shiro's thunder beam and Gojo's Hollow Purple—in one bite before vanishing beneath the sea again.

Gojo Satoru: "???"

Shiro Sakamaki: "???"

The two stared at each other in mutual disbelief.

Gojo was rattled by the raw power of the mysterious creature—able to swallow their combined attacks without even flinching.

Shiro was baffled for another reason entirely.

Why the hell is there something like that in my domain? he thought. Did I accidentally summon a thunder god or something?

With the battle interrupted by this bizarre intrusion, Shiro decided he'd had enough for one day. He casually dismissed the domain, and the thunder sea vanished into thin air.

Gojo let out a long breath as the oppressive energy faded.

"Are you trying to kill me? That domain of yours is insane," he muttered.

Shiro chuckled, brushing his fingers through his hair. "Even I wasn't expecting it to go that wild."

The fish-man was still a mystery, but overall, Shiro was satisfied. His domain amplified his lightning techniques tenfold—and it showed.

Still, the cost wasn't small. Just maintaining it for a short time had drained nearly a fifth of his spiritual energy.

"I won this battle," Shiro said coolly. "So as promised, the items are mine."

Gojo scratched his head and sighed. "Man, the old geezers aren't gonna let this slide."

At that moment, Kanna descended from the sky, having returned to her adorable, childlike form. She landed gracefully on Shiro's shoulders.

Shiro gently patted her head. "Let them come."

Gojo didn't argue. In this world, strength was everything. And while their match had ended prematurely, he knew the result would've been the same had they continued.

There was no animosity between them—just mutual respect.

The strongest had met his match.
