Dylan was still speechless he couldn't reply, he didn't know what to feel or how to react. But he just felt like staying quiet repeating her words over and over in his head. Someone actually wanted to be with him because she felt safe with him.
" I thought I could do it, I thought I could just get married here because of revenge. I thought I was strong enough but the truth is I'm just a weak helpless girl." Kathy sniffed. " They just did whatever they please with me. They just toyed with my life like a doll." She looked at Dylan with tears in her eyes
" I just wanted to show her that no matter what she did I wouldn't fall, it would never be enough, I'd never yield no matter what. But I'm scared, I'm by myself here. Everyone is scary and you the only person that actually tried to kill me but kept changing his mind and has still been saving me and keeping me away from trouble wants to leave me. Why does everyone want to leave me." Kathy cried loudly like a child
Dylan didn't know what to do, so he did a quick mental search on Damian memories. He had to have console someone one certain time. He wasn't like him. He saw him hugging and patting his sister.
Dylan moved closer to Kathy and wrapped his arms around her and she cried into his shirt letting him patt her on the shoulder.
" You're not weak little cat." How can she say she was weak. She was said to be the only one in the whole world who can harm him and possibly kill him. How can she be weak?
" Don't say that, you're not good with words, it weird." She sobbed
" I'm very sure and certain you're not weak. You might be the strongest person in the whole world. So don't ever say you're weak ever again." He looked serious Kathy smiled instead
He was a nightmare, he was a bad omen, he was chaos and bad news. But right now to get he was the sweetest thing. Maybe he had a good side but his bad side was more than his good side. And so people only saw the bad side and never got a chance to see his good side.
But she sees him all of him. Even though she'd only met him three days ago.
Seeing Kathy smiling Dylan decided to bring out his gift.
" I brought something for you." He said causing Kathy to blink. She withdrew from the hug to see what he had brought for her.
She was stunned to see a golden necklace. A very beautiful necklace. With what looked like a red ruby at the front.
" Wow? Dylan it's so pretty. Is it mine?" She asked and he nodded . Then she turned around causing Dylan to frown. Did she not like it?
" Put it on." She said smiling but Dylan didn't make any move to put it on her.
Dylan couldn't put a necklace on someone. He hasn't done that in his entire life. He didn't know how to tell her. Maybe Damian had put a necklace on someone neck before. Before he could check Kathy turned to face him.
She saw the look on his face and her heart tugged a little. Doesn't he know how to put a necklace on someone.
" You can't do it. I'll teach you." She took the necklace from him and opened it in front of him, then she closed it back. She demonstrated putting it around her neck then removing it .
" Now you try." She told Dylan. He did exactly as she did and put in on her neck. She smiled it was a pretty necklace.
" It suits you, two things you should know." She looked at him questioningly
" One, never take it off no matter what. Two, never let anyone see it." He said like it was an easy thing to do.
" What! Why, Dylan this is just an ordinary jewel isn't it?" She asked eyeing him
" I'm not ordinary little cat. What made you think I'd give you an ordinary necklace. It's an enchanted necklace a powerful one at that." He said causing Kathy to blink
" It'll protect you while I'm away, and it'll be used as a means of communication for us."
" How?"
" That's a dragon gem, all dragons have one." He pointed to the red ruby.
" Dragons exist here, oh my God!" Kathy's eyes widened in wonder
" Listen carefully little cat. You touch it and imagine my face, my real face and you'll be able to communicate with me through mind link. If you're in danger squeeze it very tightly so it'll be forced to glow and reveal it's powers. Then you recite a little chant and the dragon Spirit will come out and protect you." Kathy didn't seem to understand a word he was saying
" How can I do that, I'm only human! What dragon chant, mind link what are you talking about?" She asked confused as hell
" I don't have much time little cat, so just listen and don't ask questions. Here's the chant for a protection barrier or shield. Repeat after me." He said and Kathy could only nod
" From the Depth of my energy core". He said like a master teaching his student
" From the Depth of my energy core." Kathy's voice trembled, breathing shakily
" Flowing through my spirit's chi."
" Flowing through my spirit's chi."
" With my mind at full force."
" With my mind at full force."
"I summon the dragon Spirit."
" I summon the dragon Spirit."
" To surround me with it's protective shield."
" To surround me with it's pretective shield." She breathed slowly, this doesn't make any sense.
To Kathy's surprise she remembered very line. She looked at Dylan in surprise.
" Now listen this chant is really powerful so use it if you're in serious danger, or you feel threatened ok? . After getting a nod from Kathy he proceed to tell her.
" From the Depth of rage itself."
" Feeling fiery with anger."
" Boiling with the thirst for vengeance."
" With a burning desire for destruction."
" I demand the dragon's darkness."
" Straight into the dragon's core."
" Let all hell break lose."
" And force it's power to destroy."
Kathy body shivered at such a deadly chant. But still it all got into her head though she didn't say it.
" Why are we using force? Why must all hell break lose?" Kathy asked it sounded so dark, she looked at the pretty necklaces touching it.
" It's how the spell goes, just hold it tightly as you say it. And may I remind you that it's really deadly. Not every one can say this particular chant." He said
" But how can I say it I'm human." Kathy protested
" Because only you can use that particular necklace. No other person can." He said in a dark tone
" Why?"
" Because I say so." His reply left her shocked and speechless at the same time
