The fallen man glared venomously at Ember, his eyes red with hatred and resentment.
He spat angrily.
"Why did you stop me?! I wanted to deal with that poisonous woman! She claims to be the representative of the base but refuses to allocate saline to us! And now... Now she has the audacity to pull out electrolyte powder when she didn't give us even a single packet?! "
Hearing those words, Ivy's brows knitted together, a cold frown forming on her face.
Ember, however, was furious. She took a threatening step forward and snapped,
"Did you not hear clearly?! She just said she would ask someone to transport the electrolytes! Do you have to twist every word she says?! "
But the man, still panting from the pain of Ember's kick, pointed toward the corner with trembling, accusatory fingers.
"That... That is my child!" he shouted. "He has been unconscious for hours because of the lack of saline! And she... she stands here with supplies and doesn't give them to us!"
