If she truly listened to her parents and left, then she wouldn't be able to deliver meat. That was what he was worried about.
Taking a deep breath, suppressing the wave of disgust rising in her chest, Angelina spoke evenly, "Are you concerned about meat? If that's what you want to know, I definitely won't return to Ivy's base."
Damien paused. His gaze lingered on her, sharp and unfathomable, as though he were peeling her apart layer by layer.

Angelina clenched her fists. By now, she had already realized something chilling.
