Chapter 436 - Chapter 436: Silas's Food

His gaze sharpened further. "Or the Hannah who was obsessed with Arthur and couldn't stand the fact that Arthur liked Ivy?"

Walter's eyes widened. He shook his head quickly. "No. That's not it." His voice trembled with frustration. "It was Ivy who was jealous all along. She didn't like Hannah, and that's why she didn't allow her to enter this base."

Silas sneered, the corner of his lips lifting with cold amusement. 

"If that's really the case," he said, his voice sharp and steady, "then where's your proof? Bring me evidence, and I'll accept Ivy's mistake."

His aura was so cold that all the soldiers nearby shivered and silently prayed for Walter. Walter, too, was scared and had the urge to run away. 

But thinking about Hannah's face, he fell silent, his throat bobbing as he swallowed. After a moment, he forced out, 

"Hannah isn't in this base. Isn't that proof enough?"
