Chapter 531: Information about the Divine Body
Ryuunosuke and Whitebeard sat cross legged on the deck, jars of fine wine between them. The salt laden breeze rolled past as the two of them drank like old comrades.
"Haha, let's talk properly after a drink."
Ryuunosuke tipped his jar back for a long swallow, then set it down beside him.
"Good."
Whitebeard also sat down with his massive special bowl in hand and drank deeply.
"Gurararara…"
After a few gulps, the atmosphere noticeably relaxed.
"Uncle Whitebeard, what I want to ask is actually about Lilith and Adam," Ryuunosuke said directly. "You must know something, right?"
At the mention of those names, Whitebeard's expression stiffened for a moment, but he quickly returned to normal. Given everything that had just happened, it was only natural for Ryuunosuke to ask.
"Back when I still wasn't one of the Four Emperors," Whitebeard began slowly, "or rather, when there were only three emperors on the sea… it was just me, Kaido, and Linlin."
"So how did Shanks become one of the Four Emperors?" Ryuunosuke asked without circling around. "Was it purely by strength, or was there another reason behind that position?"
"Back then, Kaido, Linlin, and I were all members of the Rocks Pirates," Whitebeard said. "Linlin and I joined a little earlier. Kaido came in later, and the Fish Fish Fruit he uses now was given to him by Linlin at that time."
He took another deep breath, eyes distant as if looking back at that era.
"Our captain Rocks disappeared after the Battle of God Valley. The Rocks Pirates didn't actually disband immediately after that. Even though the captain had serious problems, he had also shown us kindness. So while we were searching God Valley for any trace of him, we found some… unusual information."

According to the intel Morgans had sent, Charlotte Linlin had gone to Morbig and devoured part of Adam's trunk. Seeing this information on the slab, Ryuunosuke's doubts deepened.
"Among the three of us, Kaido is probably the one who cares least about this kind of thing," Whitebeard continued, picking up naturally from where Ryuunosuke trailed off. "His idea is simple. As long as he is strong enough, he can ignore these so called threats. So he has always focused on building his own strength."
"And you, Uncle Whitebeard?" Ryuunosuke asked. "Is there something special about Laugh Tale? Also, Ace doesn't seem to have been affected by Lilith's projection at all. You must know at least part of the reason why, right?"
From Kaido's refusal to leave Ryuunosuke's ship, to Charlotte Linlin devouring Adam's trunk, Ryuunosuke had already drawn one conclusion.
No matter which Yonko it was, all four of them clearly knew something about Adam and Lilith. Otherwise, they would not have behaved so strangely.
The same went for Whitebeard this time. Ryuunosuke did not doubt it in the slightest. Even the Whitebeard Pirates themselves were confused by his actions.
After all, the Dragon Hunter Pirates were live streaming their voyage to Laugh Tale. If Whitebeard brought Ace over, their early arrival might cause misunderstandings or even open conflict.
Yet Whitebeard still chose to come.

"Because of this," Whitebeard said at last.
He reached into his coat again and took out something else.
A stone, glowing faintly with a warm orange light.
"The Orange Infinity Stone?"
The moment Ryuunosuke saw it, the name slipped out of his mouth on instinct. One of his main goals in coming here this time had been precisely this.
"That is what you call it?" Whitebeard nodded slowly. "This was left to me by Roger. He said that if Ace ever came here to follow the trail he left behind, I should give it to him."
"He left three in total. I gave two to Ace. This is the last one. If Ace ran into trouble inside, I would be able to enter as well."
"Uncle Roger, huh?" Ryuunosuke murmured. "I have never met him, but I can imagine he must have been a great man."
He closed his fingers around the stone and looked back at Whitebeard.
"So what exactly is it here that made you willing to risk a conflict with the Dragon Hunter Pirates just to bring Ace?"
"Divine body," Whitebeard answered directly. "Here, you can obtain a divine body."
At those two words, Ryuunosuke's eyes lit up unconsciously.
The system had just issued a special mission, ordering him to obtain a divine body. He had had no clue where to even start.
And now the clue had appeared right in front of him.
"You little brat, don't tell me you are after a divine body as well?" Whitebeard stared at Ryuunosuke in shock.
"Yes," Ryuunosuke admitted without hesitation. "I just got some information related to the divine body, so I was curious. I wanted to look for hints, and then Uncle Whitebeard mentioned it himself."
He scratched his head with a sheepish smile.
Whitebeard fell silent for a moment. In his heart, a strange thought surfaced.
Is there anything this kid does not know?
"I do not know much about divine bodies either," Whitebeard finally said. "According to what Roger told me back then… once you enter Laugh Tale, you will have the chance to learn about the divine body."
He looked Ryuunosuke up and down with puzzlement.
"You just went in as well, didn't you? That means you should have received some information about the divine body, right?"
"Information about the divine body?" Ryuunosuke sighed helplessly. "No."
