"Claire."
She had barely walked a few steps when someone called her name from behind. She turned to look.
Alvin Nelson stood a short distance away in the corridor, a briefcase in one hand and a warm, gentle smile on his face. He lifted a hand in greeting, his presence calm and composed.
"Mr. Nelson. What a coincidence," Claire replied with a polite smile, walking over to him.
"I didn't expect to see you here either," he said with a chuckle. "Come on, let's sit and catch up for a bit."
"I'd love to, but I need to get back to work."
"Claire, isn't Zanna getting ready for the Autumn Fair? I just heard the exhibition hall director is here today. It's the perfect time to discuss some details. Also, I've been meaning to talk with you about a potential fragrance collaboration between our companies. Why not sit down for a bit and go over it?"
His tone was sincere, and after a brief hesitation, Claire nodded and followed him inside.
