Adam pricked up his ears, alert.
The footsteps were light, very light.
Oh no. Could that shadow really have been a ghost last night? And now the ghost was back?
No, that couldn't be. Ghosts don't appear in daylight. Auntie Tina said so.
He stared at the door, eyes wide.
Soon the door opened and a little black head with a bun hairstyle poked in, peering around.
"Linda." Adam recognized her at once and called out.
Linda's eyes finally found him, she pushed the door open and came in.
She wore a pretty dress, her hair in a bun, snow boots on her feet, hands clasped behind her back as she looked at him.
"Adam, are you scared?" she asked.
Adam boiled with anger. She'd tricked him into going after Hilary yesterday and after that he'd woken up not knowing anything.
"Linda, why did you trick me?" he demanded.
Linda blinked. "Who told you to ignore me?"
"You ignored me, so you tricked me?" Adam fumed.
