"{Spider Thread Manipulation}," Ryuji muttered, testing his new skill. He mimicked Spider-Man from the Marvel movies, striking a pose to shoot webs.
"Shwoop!"
A dark purple thread shot from his wrist. It wasn't white, but a dark purple.
Ryuji grinned. He could debut as Spider-Man?!
However, he realized the skill wasn't particularly powerful; it was more for control.
Ryuji then deactivated his Demonification, retrieved his Nichirin Blade from the ground, and sheathed it.
The demon blood on his face had been completely absorbed by the demonic energy; only his clothes remained stained.
Ryuji turned to Giyu Tomioka, approaching him. "Long time no see! I never expected you to become my senior brother!"
"Long time no see," Giyu replied simply.
Two years had made a significant difference in Ryuji.
Ryuji extended his hand towards Giyu, gesturing for something. "Give me that."
Giyu looked at the collected blood in his hand, returned it to Ryuji, and asked, "Were you going to drink that blood?"
Giyu knew of Ryuji's unique nature—his dependence on demon blood for survival.
"No, it's for research! And I wouldn't drink just any demon's blood; I only drink Nezuko's," Ryuji replied briefly.
"Alright! Let's check on your junior brother, Tanjiro. You, as his senior, should show some concern," Ryuji said, changing the subject.
Ryuji walked towards Tanjiro, and Giyu followed without comment.
While Ryuji was overpowering Lower Rank Five, Tanjiro had crawled to Nezuko's side and embraced her tightly.
At that moment, Shinobu Kocho dashed towards them, drawing her blade and lunging at Nezuko.
Ryuji and Giyu reacted simultaneously, stepping in front of Nezuko. They drew their Nichirin Blades, deflecting Shinobu's attack with an upward parry.
Shinobu couldn't withstand the combined force of Ryuji and Giyu; she backflipped to absorb the impact.
As she landed, Ryuji's left hand shot out, swiftly grabbing Shinobu by the neck and pinning her to the ground. His right hand placed his Nichirin Blade at her throat.
Shinobu was caught completely off guard. Giyu hadn't anticipated Ryuji's follow-up. Seeing Ryuji subduing Shinobu, Giyu calmly stated, "She's an ally."
