After the village headman led Ryuji and his group to their prepared room, he left without further questions or interruptions.
Ryuji first used Wood Breath to accelerate the healing of Tanjiro's abdominal wound. Within fifteen minutes, the wound showed significant improvement. While strenuous activity was still impossible, normal movement was now possible.
"Senior Ryuji, did you kill Upper Rank Three?" Tanjiro asked curiously after his wound was healed.
"No, the battle was inconclusive," Ryuji replied calmly.
Inosuke then boasted to Tanjiro, "Tanjiro, I fought Upper Rank One! That guy had six eyes and was incredibly strong!"
Intrigued, Tanjiro asked, "Were there two Upper Ranks this time? Inosuke, was your arm injured by Upper Rank One?"
Murada Shinichi interjected, "Tanjiro, you're underestimating the Upper Ranks! If it were Upper Rank One, it wouldn't have been a simple injury; his arm would likely be gone! Worse, he might be dead!"
"Inosuke's injury was inflicted by Lower Rank Two," Shinichi added.
Kyōjurō then spoke with a hint of guilt, "It was my fault. Inosuke protected me from a fatal blow."
Both Kyōjurō and Inosuke were straightforward, never beating around the bush.
Zenitsu, hearing Kyōjurō, approached Inosuke, playfully bumping him with his shoulder. "Inosuke, wow! You're saving damsels now! You wouldn't happen to like Kyōjurō, would you!?"
"Your head only has room for women! That was teamwork, something I learned from Tanjiro!" Inosuke retorted teasingly.
Inosuke, having learned of Zenitsu's infatuation with women during their recent recovery training at the Butterfly Mansion, made the comment.
Even though Inosuke was telling the truth, Zenitsu remained unconvinced, still suspecting Inosuke had feelings for Kyōjurō.
"Inosuke, tell me the whole story," Tanjiro steered the conversation back on track, less interested in romantic matters than Zenitsu.
Even if Zenitsu were right, it was Inosuke and Kyōjurō's business.
Inosuke then recounted the events, with Murada Shinichi providing additional details.
From their combined accounts, Tanjiro understood what happened.
Tanjiro hadn't expected Lower Rank Two to be bait to lure Inosuke and his group.
If Zenitsu hadn't stopped him, Tanjiro would have likely pursued Lower Rank Two as well.
However, Tanjiro was grateful he hadn't gone. His relief wasn't from avoiding danger, but from heeding Zenitsu's advice and saving over two hundred lives.
"Senior Ryuji, don't you think we were specifically targeted?" Tanjiro then asked Ryuji.
