Tanjiro's question sparked the interest of the others.
"Theoretically, it should be possible. However, it's ultimately useless because, regardless of Muzan Kibutsuji's outward appearance, his aura is impossible to change or conceal. A dominant demon like Muzan Kibutsuji would have an incredibly strong scent; that's why you were able to locate him amidst the dense crowd in Asakusa, Tanjiro."
Ryuji offered his analysis of Tanjiro's question, which Tanjiro found reasonable.
The group continued their conversation in this relaxed atmosphere.
Around lunchtime, Rengoku returned to the village and rejoined Ryuji.
Because the village headman had received payment from Ryuji, he prepared a simple lunch: sushi rice balls and a bowl of hot soup for everyone.
The group was surprised by the headman's thoughtful gesture and expressed their gratitude.
Since Sakata Seiichiro and Inoue Kenta were injured and could only eat liquid foods, Ryuji asked the headman for two bowls of plain rice porridge.
Feeding Seiichiro and Kenta was entrusted to the Shinichi and Shinji brothers, as they were the least powerful members of the group, excluding the injured.
During lunch, Tanjiro and Ryuji inquired about the Stealth Division's cleanup efforts from Rengoku.
Rengoku explained that after clearing the derailed train from the tracks, the innocent bystanders had boarded another train with the Stealth Division members and were heading to the Infinity Castle.
The Stealth Division would return the next morning on a dedicated train, stopping near the accident site to pick up Rengoku and Ryuji's group.
As planned, Rengoku and Ryuji's group left the village early the next morning and arrived at the accident site.
The train was waiting. Without hesitation, they boarded.
They arrived back at Demon Slayer Corps headquarters late at night. The mountain was very quiet—a peaceful quiet, not the tense quiet that precedes danger.
The Flame Hashira took Tanjiro back to his estate. Since Tanjiro was now Rengoku's apprentice, this was understandable. Ryuji had no objections and simply requested Nezuko.
Tanjiro knew Ryuji needed to consume demon blood and gave Nezuko to him.
Zenitsu and Inosuke, being close to Tanjiro, strongly objected to him leaving the Butterfly Mansion to live with Rengoku. However, Inosuke also moved in, leaving Zenitsu no choice but to follow.
Fortunately, the Butterfly Mansion wasn't far from Rengoku's estate, so Zenitsu could still visit Aoi, Kiyo, Sumi, and Naho.
Otherwise, Zenitsu would never have moved to Rengoku Manor.
Ryuji, of course, didn't move to Rengoku Manor; the reasons were self-evident.
