To get to the hospital roof, it would have been easier to just use the elevator. But Tristan had felt the need to keep busy. So immediately after leaving Ariel's room, so that Peter could get a chance to be with his sister, he had taken the stairs all the way there.
Now he was on the roof staring out at the city. The cold wind there was unforgiving. And Tristan could feel it trying to dig in all the way to his bone marrow. To just make a home for itself there and freeze him from the inside out. But he did not care.
