Chapter 98 - Chapter 97: The Battle Ends, The Banquet Begins

"Did Daemon actually succeed?"

Everyone in the livestream chat paused, eyes locked on the screen.

And then... Saitama appeared. Covered in minor scratches.

Gasps filled the chat.

For the first time since removing his limiter, Saitama looked… injured.

No one expected this. Not after a battle that had flattened tens of thousands of moon-sized ruins at the core of the sun. Until now, not a single mark had touched him.

The fact that Daemon's Noble Phantasm had broken through even slightly... it spoke volumes.

Who could've imagined that someone like Obito, of all people, would stumble upon such a god-tier treasure? Daemon almost laughed just thinking about his absurd luck.

Yet, even with all that power, Saitama stood tall. Minor wounds, yes but just that much, from an attack that could rip apart solar system. His durability bordered on the divine.

Standing before him, Daemon's tone held a newfound respect.

"You're still standing. Ready for round two?"

But Saitama tilted his head slightly. "Mr. Daemon, I'm hungry…"

Daemon blinked. "Huh?" A floating question mark practically hung over his head. "What about the fight?"

Saitama scratched his cheek, unfazed by the heat of the sun around them. "I lost."

No frustration. No regret. Just that same calm tone as if he was truly satisfied.

"Hercules' belt is no joke," Saitama admitted. "I got injured first. That's your win. And honestly… if we keep going, I doubt the result will change."

He looked out toward the expanse of space.

"That was the first time I've been hurt since I became strong… Impressive."

Daemon was silent. Truthfully, it was hard to say who had the upper hand long-term. The belt gave him absurd power—enhancing strength and speed 24 times over. Not to mention the blessings from the Eye of Horus.

For now, Saitama had no way of dealing real damage to Daemon.

But Saitama… Saitama was something else. His growth was limitless. His cap? Unknown.

Still, in this moment, Daemon could hurt him and Saitama couldn't return the favor. It was clear.

"Let's go eat," Saitama said cheerfully, already looking toward the Pirate World in the distance. "Oh! If I jump from the sun, I can make it, right?"

Daemon stared. Then chuckled, rubbing his temples.

"You're impossible."

Grabbing Saitama's arm, he smirked. "Meteor Throw!"

With that, Daemon hurled Saitama toward the Pirate World like a living comet.

Then, tearing through space himself, he returned to the planet... leaving behind debris from the shattered sun that no one would ever clean up.

Meanwhile, in the One Piece world…

Several of Vegapunk's clones stared through astronomical telescopes, confused.

"Did… did the sun just break apart?"

"No clue. There's no way people were fighting on the sun… right?"

"Enough with this nonsense. Get back to brewing Daemon's potion. Honestly, why does he care whether the Pirate King's child is a girl?"

"Does he have some weird bias? Girls over boys or something?"

In the lab, chaos buzzed—not a single soul realizing the "celestial dragon" they were grumbling about had just battled Saitama in the heart of the sun.

Wano Country.

A massive banquet raged, with food piled sky-high, all thanks to Saitama's newly acquired Gourmet Tablecloth reward.

Kaido and King clinked mugs, drinking with joy. The details had shifted from what they imagined, but Kaido now ruled Wano.

—As a Navy Admiral, no less.

Aizen sipped his wine with quiet poise. You'd never guess he'd just suffered a catastrophic loss.

Saitama? He was laser-focused—on meat.

Having spent most of his life chasing grocery store discounts, a full-course meal like this was heaven. His battle wounds would heal… with proper nutrition.

Not far away, Kozuki Toki sat beside her daughter, Hiyori. Though the celebration was loud and bright, Toki's elegant features wore a faint trace of sorrow.

Hiyori, meanwhile, kept sneaking fearful glances at Daemon.

Clearly still traumatized by how he taught her to drink milk.

Caught in a Shura-like standoff between two possessive beauties.

"Daemon is my master," Stussy snapped, narrowing her eyes at Yamato, who was cuddling up to him like a loyal dog.

Daemon's training had clearly worked on Stussy—she now openly called him master without a trace of embarrassment.

But Yamato, blissfully clueless and now an adult thanks to her Noble Phantasm, didn't seem to care about hierarchy.

After losing her memory and being smothered with Daemon's "lessons," her head was filled with nothing but Daemon, Daemon, and more Daemon.

Seeing Stussy compete for his attention made her blood boil.

She didn't hesitate. Grabbing the kanabo from her back, she lunged.

"Thunder Bagua!"

Stussy's eyes widened—too late to dodge.

BOOM!

The impact blasted her thousands of meters away, ripping through the sky and creating dozens of sonic boom rings before she crashed into the earth.

Yamato grinned, hugging Daemon's arm tightly.

"Did you see that, Daemon?! I'm amazing, right? Praise me!"

Like an oversized puppy, she wagged her imaginary tail.

From the rubble, Stussy emerged, covered in dust but unhurt—just furious.

"That dumb girl's too strong!"

She glared, humiliated in front of Daemon.

"Alright, that's enough," Daemon said, chuckling helplessly.

He pulled Yamato into his arms, gently stopping her from provoking Stussy further.

Though deep down… he wasn't exactly complaining.

There was something uniquely charming about Yamato's white hair, dog-like affection, and childlike innocence wrapped in an adult body.

Turning to Kaido, Daemon asked casually, "Got any Devil Fruits for Yamato? Or should I prepare one?"

"No need," Kaido grumbled, hesitating for a moment. "I've got one. A Mythical Zoan… ice attribute. Pretty strong. I'll give it to her later."

Daemon's eyes lit up with curiosity.

"Mythical Zoan class with ice powers? That's gotta be beautiful… I'm actually looking forward to it."

Kaido froze.

Did… did this bastard just imply—

Even her Mythical Zoan form isn't safe from him?!

Kaido shivered. This man was beyond twisted.

But Daemon didn't care what people thought. If it was beautiful, be it a dragon, a spirit, or even a piece of paper—he had ways of appreciating it.

Especially Yamato.

White hair, soft fur, gentle curves, an icy aura… It was going to be unforgettable.

[In the Chat Group]

Although Daemon had ended the live broadcast, the topic of his battle still burned hot in the chat group.

Miyuki: "This battle felt a little... anticlimactic."

Luo Hao: "There wasn't much choice. If they kept fighting, the sun would've been destroyed. And once that happens, the One Piece world is done for."

Eriri Sawamura: "So who actually won?"

Luo Hao: "Daemon didn't get injured even once. He completely suppressed Saitama, and in the end, he did manage to hurt him. Who do you think won?"

Tohsaka Sakura: "Obviously, it's Brother Daemon!"

Kocho Shinobu: "Mr. Saitama is terrifying—being able to fight at the sun's core without a scratch—but Mr. Daemon... he's just on another level."

Uchiha Madara: "With Hercules' Belt and Sky is Dead, Daemon didn't just win—he overwhelmed him. Those two Noble Phantasms are beyond reason. When he meets someone strong, he just crushes them even harder. It's like he's mocking all the top-tier fighters!"

Sosuke Aizen: "Still, I learned a lot watching that battle. Saitama really is... unfathomable."

Yamamoto Mei: "Didn't you get one-shotted by Daemon? What exactly did you learn?"

Aizen Sosuke: "..."

Aizen Sosuke: "…So this is what it feels like to have a dark history, huh?"

Esdeath: "It's no big deal. Mei, Luo Hao, Jibril—most of us who love to fight have been beaten down by Daemon at least once. You're just the latest name on the list."

Aizen Sosuke: "...As expected of Mr. Daemon."
