Chapter 205 - Chapter 204: The Final Year of the Ninja Academy!

At the next moment, Tobirama's expression became serious.

"Now, show me the sealed metal container."

Seimei nodded and tossed the sealed metal container to Tobirama, who grabbed it with practiced ease.

He examined the sealed metal container and said, "Interesting. Unlike the usual storage seals that only need the user to channel chakra to the seal to access the storage space and bring the items out, this metallic container has several layers of encryption that can only be accessed through the right password."

"If the password or its sequence is incorrect, anything stored inside the metal container will be destroyed, completely eradicating any sort of evidence."

"Cracking it shouldn't be a problem for you, though. Isn't it, Father?" remarked Seimei with a smirk.

Tobirama returned the smirk and replied, "Indeed. The encryption seal here is quite good. Even a Fuinjutsu Grandmaster might struggle to crack it. However…"

Tobirama's voice had a mocking edge at the end of his speech.

He didn't continue talking.

Instead, his right hand's index finger moved in the air with surprising dexterity and agility. Misty threads of chakra began to carve several Fuinjutsu runes in the air before forming an incredibly complex runic structure in a matter of seconds.

Once Tobirama stopped his movements, the runic structure that hovered before him glowed with a simmering blue light.

Next, Tobirama guided the newly constructed runic structure to the seals responsible for multi-layered encryption within the sealed metallic container.

Tobirama's runic construct merged with the encryption seal before slowly breaking through every runic formation dedicated to protecting the contents inside the storage space.

It was like a key that perfectly matched the lock formation.

The runic construct and the encryption seal canceled each other, making the encryption seal within the sealed metal container practically useless.

Now, anyone could get their hands on the things inside the sealed metallic container as long as they had unlocked their chakra.

Tobirama, without wasting another second, channeled his chakra to the storage seal engraved in the sealed metallic container.

And a moment later, a thick, palm-sized scroll appeared in Tobirama's hand with a puff of smoke.

"...However, their clumsy seals can't stop me," said Tobirama, who had a dangerous glint in his eyes as he gazed at the scroll.

Right. Someone capable of creating the complex seals required to cast the Flying Thunder God Technique should definitely have better mastery over Fuinjutsu than your average Fuinjutsu Grandmaster.

Apart from Aunt Mito, probably no one in Konoha understands Fuinjutsu more deeply than Father.

Seimei pondered as he watched Tobirama unfurl the scroll and read it with undivided focus.

After a few minutes, Tobirama put the scroll down and looked at the unconscious spy with a clear, murderous gaze.

"I don't know how long this guy stayed in Konoha, but he has indeed collected a lot of information about the important personnel, our approximate supply flow, and our overall military strength, at least below Kage-level."

"He either stayed hidden for years or has excellent information collection ability."

"For a ninja like him with a pitiful amount of chakra and strength, his espionage skills are undoubtedly top-tier."

"No wonder Iwagakure sent him to spy on us."

Seimei caught the hint and asked, "Are you saying that he's from Iwagakure?"

Tobirama crossed his arms and nodded, "Yes. The style of sealing technique in the sealed metallic container, his familiar stocky build, the scripting style, and the message coding style—everything reeks of Iwagakure."

"Still, we need to verify things."

"First, we need to determine his identity. We need to know when he entered Konoha and how long he has been staying here."

"The Torture and Interrogation Department will handle it."

Then, Tobirama looked at Seimei and praised, "Again, good job for bringing him alive."

"Although we can still collect information from the corpses as long as their brains haven't been damaged, thanks to the Yamanaka clan ninjas, retrieving years of memories from a dead man's brain would have still been a tough job."

"The Mind Reading Technique of the Yamanaka clan isn't omnipotent."

"The longer the corpse is dead, the less information we can get."

"Similarly, attempting to read memories of a dead brain more than once can cause serious damage to the brain, which may lead to failure in later attempts."

"But with a live ninja, these problems won't be a problem at all."

"We can hypnotize him using Genjutsu and take our time to slowly recover his entire memories."

Although Tobirama's voice was flat, Seimei could swear that his father was brimming with an oddly malicious excitement.

The more he spoke, the more excited he became.

"Anyway, I will handle the rest. I will record your merit for capturing the spy. You can leave now."

Tobirama declared as he pressed on a special seal to call the ANBU operatives in the building, who would appear within a few seconds.

With this, Seimeis's job was finished.

"Understood."

Seimei gave a curt reply and left.

He was free now.

Everything else? Not his damn problem!

-------------------

The next morning, Seimei got up from bed, went through all his morning exercise routines, ate his breakfast, and swiftly left the house to go to the Ninja Academy.

It had already been more than four years since he had started going to the Academy.

It was an experience he could only describe as novel, surprising, and interesting.

The teachers were dedicated, the resources were plentiful, and the Shinobi tactics and knowledge he learned here were invaluable.

At the very least, spending time in the academy had helped him reinforce his fundamentals, connect with like-minded peers, and build solid friendships.

He began his Ninja Academy journey at the age of seven.

And after more than four years, he was already in his fifth and final year of the Academy curriculum.

In seven or eight more months, he would be able to graduate from the S-class and become an official Shinobi of Konoha.

Additionally, because of the special privilege he had received as an S-class student and the mandatory academy missions he had completed, he would be able to graduate as a Chunin.

There was no need to start over as a Genin.

The same rules applied to his S-class classmates as well.

The reason was simple.

S-class students were trained to become an elite force of Konoha.

The village had provided them with abundant resources, qualified combat instructors, and a dedicated training environment that even many mid-level clans didn't possess.

Any kid who had successfully maintained their status as an S-rank student for the four years was a highly capable Shinobi with at least Chunin-level strength and tactical prowess.

They had completed at least twenty mandatory C-rank or higher-level ninja missions with incredible efficiency since the beginning of their fourth year till now.

They were supposed to achieve the full-fledged Jonin status before they turned 20.

Making these highly capable graduates start their careers as Genin and giving them D-rank missions for months would be akin to wasting their potential.

So, granting them Chunin status was only reasonable.

This was the privilege of the S-class students, something normal ninja academy students could not hope to receive, unless they showed enough promise to be promoted from the normal classes to the S-class.

Interestingly, unlike the previous four years, the final year didn't have any semester division.

Of course, that was not without reason.

Just as Seimei was musing about his academy life, he suddenly heard a familiar voice calling him.

"Yo Seimei, going to the anti-personnel combat class today?"

Seimei's eyes briefly flickered with a royal blue glow before he turned his head, only to see a beautiful girl with hair as black as night walking toward him.

Seeing her, Seimei smiled.

"Hey, Reina. Yes, I am going to the anti-personnel combat class right now."

Reina smiled back and started walking beside him. "Perfect. Let's go together then."

"Very well," said Seimei before walking together with Reina.

Seimei and Reina were going to attend the anti-personnel division's class today, one of the many divisions that plenty of students chose to specialize in.

This specialization or class division was the reason why the fifth year had no semester system.
