~Alex's POV
I didn't give her a choice.
The moment I realized how pale she was, how fragile she felt against me, something inside me snapped. She kept insisting she was fine, and kept brushing off my concern, but I wasn't buying it. Not this time.
"Get dressed," I said, my voice leaving no room for argument.
Bella sighed, clearly not wanting to fight me, but I saw the reluctance in her eyes. She moved slower than usual, and that only made me more certain that something was wrong. She wasn't just exhausted, she was weak. I hated seeing her like that.
I dressed quickly, pulling on a fresh shirt and pants, then turned back to her. She had barely managed to slip on a dress before she swayed slightly, gripping the bedpost for support. I was at her side in an instant, grabbing her arm to steady her. My jaw clenched.
"You're not fine, Bella."
She let out a tired laugh, but it didn't hold any real amusement. "It's nothing, Alex. I just need rest."
