I stood there, frozen, as Alex walked away, his words still ringing in my ears. "I don't love you, Sabrina." It felt like my heart had been ripped out of my chest and stomped on. My hands trembled, and my breath came in short, uneven gasps. How could he do this to me? After all the love I had given him, he just threw me away like I meant nothing.
Tears blurred my vision as I watched him disappear down the street. I couldn't move. I couldn't think. The pain in my chest was unbearable, and my legs felt weak. But as I stood there, drowning in my sorrow, something inside me snapped. I needed to know. I needed to see who she was. Who was this Bella that had taken him away from me? Who was this woman that made him stop loving me?
I wiped my tears and clenched my fists. My sadness turned into something else, something hotter, stronger. Anger. I wasn't going to just sit here and cry. No, I needed to see for myself. I needed to understand why he left me.
