She tried to sound him out first.
Christopher didn't respond to her, then she continued.
"Speaking of this, I was also wrong. I really didn't expect that they would take advantage of this show. If I knew that they used to have that kind of relationship, I wouldn't have asked you to sponsor it."
Denise's face was full of guilt.
"Is that so?"
Christopher looked over at her coldly.
Somehow, Denise felt anxious.
She felt that his eyes looked intense.
Even so, Denise continued, "That's right. I should have suspected it when Director Taylor tried to recommend Janice to me. After all, she has no experience whatsoever. If I had questioned his recommendation at that time, things wouldn't have become like this. Chris, I hope you don't blame me."
She turned to look at him, for fear that he would see through her. Then she looked away with a guilty conscience.
Christopher sneered, "Why don't we talk about what you've done?"
