Who would have thought that Old Mr. Allson would be more anxious than he was? He got out of bed and hurried Christian away.
"What are you waiting for? Go on."
"Look at you," Old Mr. Allson grumbled as he pushed Christian out of the room "How can you expect me to have a great-grandson next year when you're like this? Go on, don't even think of coming for the next few days."
In other words, he was telling Christopher to go home and make babies.

He was a little dejected and shook his head helplessly. He turned around and walked out while calling Janice, but all he got was a dial tone.
