The next morning I was enjoying the peace and tranquility when the guardian marshal came. I gave the orders to the cyborg to call the governor. The marshal wasn't able to say anything because the governor used a Holo projection to warn him to go back to his station. He was removed by force. I went back to enjoying my day pruning the garden. On my way back to my house there was a sudden jolt. The alarm went off saying Tenebrae has boarded Arman. She was hoping the wishing stones were here. She had her soldiers search the ship top to bottom. The residents were pooled together in the union hall. She asked the governor where the stones were. He said he didn't know. She thought he was bluffing. She brought Seven over and asked her to pick someone at random. She chose me. I told her that she was making a mistake. She held a pistol to my face. I took a deep breath and wiggled my fingers. Her pistol melted and she screamed in pain. I opened my fingers and a ball of flame shot out and burned a Chimerean.
Tenebrae watched with surprise. I made a fist remembering not to kill anyone. She started laughing as the flames died out. I think she was about to call me weak when she saw the charge of energy that replaced the flames. She didn't get a chance to do anything. She watched helplessly as tendrils of electric charge wrapped around her and stunned her. She laid on the floor petrified as I dealt with the rest of the intruders. At one point fire shot out of my mouth and the Chimerean ran helplessly to disembark this ship hoping to get as far away from me as possible. Seven asked me how it was possible. I told Seven, "I am from Arcan. The science division stole a corpse of a four elements manipulator from the planet Josean called Kai. They hoped to ensure their royalty and military might have the ability to manipulate multiple elements while the rest only could do one. But after a thousand years of trying I am the only one who has the ability to manipulate all four elements. I had to migrate all over Arcan the day I turned eight years old. Just so I can control my gifts. So I won't harm anyone in a fit of rage. The day I turned eighteen was the day the war started in the Minon regions. I had to go to court to make sure I am not enlisted as a combatant. The royal edict made it clear that all residents who have turned eighteen are conscripted soldiers. I got to be a medic after fighting the army as they wanted me to be their secret weapon. I was told to donate blood. I refused. I stayed as a medic. I wanted to prove that I am more than my gifts. My abilities had me labeled Draconian but my actions earned me a medal of honor. I have been very happy to be a normal person but if you keep pushing. I will hurt you and won't apologize for it."
Tenebrae ordered her men to retreat. I took a deep breath and sent a whirlwind of fire. Then I made a fist and punched the floor. It turned into spikes and impaled the intruders. Seven and her darkness barely made it out. I chased them as they made their way to get out of the ship. I made it very clear, "The next time I see you on board Arman. You better be invited." Both of them ran as fast as their legs let them. I glided towards using the wind as a booster. I watched as they hopped on board their vessel Vindictive. I turned around and asked the governor to please convince the guardian marshal to stop harassing me. I want to spend what life I have left in peace. I chose this vessel because it was a safe place. So far my tranquility has been disrupted by him. His need to make me a violent person is beyond insulting. Temporarily I had become the very nightmare I have been trying to avoid. The guardian marshal and STAR were told if they can't handle security without making me a member. Then perhaps they should step down to allow more competent people to work. Both promised to leave me alone as I was taken to the arbitrary room to get a different tattoo. The ink resembled blood. The tattoo was a scroll. It was partially unrolled. It was written in an ancient Grammarian text. It is the ancient language spoken commonly throughout the universe before the great divide. I was told that I have been granted full access to the enter the library without being cooked.
My house moved again. I still commute to my job as a gardener. The security was hospitable with everyone but they would show their displeasure whenever they saw me. I made sure to ignore their stares as I made my way to work and back again. I was invited to several parties. But I turned them down. After working I prefer going home to enjoy the quiet. I would tinker with broken items in the yard. One was a broadcaster. The dials turned to different news channels from different sections of the galaxy. I would only gear the ones that are closest to Arman in proximity. Some were pirate radios while the others were government or senate owned. The news reported was as different as the species on board. In some situations the government withheld information and other situations denied and a few instances they were blunt. I hope politics is not in my future since I am allergic to trouble. I looked outside to see a pod of baleens. These are gentle giants that glide through space. They only land on a planet to die. They have gray skin, large in size with no teeth. When provoked they swim away. If you attack their young they will show aggression and crush you. They raised and lowered their four fins to propel forward. Their bodies moved to mimic the ocean's waves. The sight was soothing to look at. The baleen had bumps on their skin which lit up and they disappeared.
We were told to avoid certain areas as Bogs were seen raiding ships so we diverted to Ansley. It is known as the financial district. People come here to buy profits so that they can be rich. My salary from Antar was stones so I paid the man at the counter a precious stone slightly larger than my thumbnail. He took one look at it and gave it to me as he directed me to the office. The stone was appraised by an appraiser. He said the stone was worth two million valuta because it was a clear gemstone with no inclusions. The raw uncut stone was one of the rarest in the galaxy. I smiled, "On Antar those stones are worthless. The only thing of value is water and shelter. So when I asked them to pay they gave me a few stones." The appraiser said that if I auction this I can get more so I told him where that was possible. He directed me to an auction where they contacted Antar and confirmed my story. The stone was sold at an alarming hundred million Valuta. I was asked to open a bank account. I was taken to Iridium galactic Bank. Afterwards I used some of the money to invest in stocks. For example Antrite, Morphus, Unobtanium, Transformium, Obsidian and Silim. Antrite are used to make components in spaceships. Especially those huge star bursts. Morphus is used as Amor. Unobtanium is a recent discovery. The substance changes with temperature and pressure. So they are still in the test phases. The possibilities were endless. Transformium was used by the elite to make security Borg appear out of nowhere to defeat assassins. Obsidian was used commonly in fighter jets as they absorb heat. If used correctly they are less likely to combust. Silim is an almost forgotten substance. It is a green slime that is processed to make a medicine that heals the body instantly. It was used during the wars of Kube. The soldiers in Arcan and Fjord were mandated to carry these since they believed healers were a waste. The library has the exact recipe. The auction house asked if I had any other stones I wished to part with and gave them three stones. The first was the size of my thumb it was blue, slightly cloudy and had some luster. The second was a red stone the size of a tangerine. It was clear and very beautiful. The last was a green stone. It was dark green and yet the light passed through with ease. I didn't wait around to know exactly how much money I got as I went to the eatery. There were many exotic meals to choose from. I was about to choose when my comms buzzed saying that we were leaving. I got the paperwork signed saying that I got my money and the shares from the stocks I purchased will be sent to my account. So I had nothing to worry about. The gentleman wished me a safe trip as I boarded the Lexicon.
We left the planet to go to the Null void zone for a funeral. Everyone who attended was dressed in either white or black. The corpse was placed in a coffin and forced out through a chute. People lowered their heads as a sermon was given and everyone returned to their stations. As for me I wondered why we haven't gone to Polaris five. That is the emergency protocol in case of war. The library has to be preserved. The response was simple they are picking up a new member to replace the one they lost. The new resident of Arman was a Toole. Like his name suggests he is a pain. He is curious about everything and everyone. I hope he does have roving hands because I am not in the mood to lose my temper. He met me as I was going home and he asked me why I had so many tattoos. He asked me how long it will take to get them. I answered, "Three of the tattoos are from a festival. Two are from this ship. Which is earned." He wanted more information but I kept my mouth shut. He wanted to know how to gain access to the library. I told him that he can't access it. He will be given a proxy. No one sees the library except Maxx. He lives inside the library and rarely ventures out. I warned about the nightingale halls and he brushed it off. As we disembarked the conveyor belt a STAR member asked him to come with him. He is going to brief him about minding his own business. After his chat with the Peruvian he stepped out and talked to someone named Agris. I recalled Agris was part of a secret society who wanted to destroy historical artifacts. They wanted to erase the very items which prove the existence of a nation or a tribe. These things proved their existence and by extension provided them with a form of protection. If the proof of their existence was erased then invading the place and colonizing it shouldn't be a problem. Agris hated the library after it proved in court the existence of the Kalu tribe. Thus the aristocrats who tried to mine the precious gases found abundantly had to vacate the planet. I reported the incident and he was evicted and the screening process became more stern.
