Joe seemed to be blushing very slightly, but no one noticed.
"So, Zoey, now that you are officially married to Leo, you have become part of the Yancey family. If Leo ever bullies you, just let us know and we'll punish him." Joe spoke sincerely.
Looking at him, Zoey realized he was the type of person that appeared to be cold, but was actually protective of the people he cared about.
"I understand, Dad." Zoey smiled.
Joe didn't expect that at all, which made his face red.
Everyone was surprised when they saw that.
"Honey, your face is flushed." Iris excitedly looked at Joe.
He hadn't blushed like that since they were in their dating days.
One time, she intentionally wore something sexy to tease him to see if he could make other expressions. She succeeded when he blushed. Nonetheless, he did not touch her at all and ordered her to change into something "normal".
Thinking back, she found the moment to be quite sweet.
