Shawn stood up and lowered his head at the Carters. Then, he solemnly uttered, "Mr. Carter, Mrs. Carter, from now on, I'll protect Yvonne with my life. I won't let her suffer."
Serena nodded in amusement.
On the other hand, Zach huffed and muttered, "The two of you are about to get married, yet you're still calling me Mr. Carter. What? Don't I deserve to hear you call me Dad?"
Hearing that, Shawn smiled and said complacently, "Dad."
"Good. I'll forgive you, then."
"Thank you, Dad."
Then, he turned to Serena and said, "Mom."
"Yes, dear," Serena answered as her tears fell. "I didn't think I'd have another son so soon. Yvonne's such an impressive girl. I can't believe she's bringing home such an amazing son-in-law. I'll be able to show you off to my friends in the future."
