Joanne shook her head in disbelief.
"No, Aunt Liz, this can't be true. You will never treat me like this... " she said incoherently, as she was getting too agitated.
"I'm no saint. I only cared for you because you are part of the Yancey family, and I love our family. But since you don't appreciate being a part of it, there is no point in me caring for you anymore."
Having said that, Liz pulled Nash away from Joanne just as she was lost in her thoughts.
"Leo, Nash is still a child. Please forgive her," she said.
"Don't worry, Aunt Liz. Nash is my sister, after all. Of course, I will forgive her," Leo said kindly.
This was to tell Liz indirectly that no matter what was going on with Joanne, it would never affect his relationship with Nash.
