"Answer me?!" He commanded again, tightening his fist. The delicious meal became sour in my mouth instantly. "Why didn't you tell me you were still receiving threats?"
His eyes darkened in fury. It was swirling deep in his iris. I could hardly see the human in him. A minute ago, after the conversation we had, one might almost believe that he was human. "It was just..." I paused. "You know what, I don't owe you any explanation."
"That's where you are wrong, Birdie. You actually do. We had a deal. I cannot fulfill the end of that deal, if you are out here keeping secrets!" He seethed. I saw the maids who were strolling by the living room with their duties fret as he barked. One glare from him and they scattered like flies.
"I am not one of your subjects you get to bark at. Do you know what I was feeling when I received the text?"
