Chapter 331 - Chapter 331

That wasn't a real crow.

Hatake Satoru got up and opened the window. This was underground, so normal crows shouldn't be able to get here.

The so-called window was actually just a hole Hatake Satoru made because he felt it was too stuffy down here.

Outside, there was indeed open space with no buildings, but logically, no crows should be able to get in.

Hatake Satoru opened the window, and a cold feeling rushed in from outside.

Hozuki Mangetsu also went over to see what kind of crow it was, but as soon as he opened the window, a gust of cold wind made him grimace.

Looking in through the window, it was a deep darkness that seemed to have no end.

There wasn't a trace of light, nor any light coming from outside.

You couldn't tell how deep it was, nor where this place led to, or what might be there.

It was just a window, but it gave off a ghost house vibe.

It just didn't seem right!

There was also a cold, earthy smell outside. It should be good for escaping the heat in the daytime or summer.

But it looked a bit scary.

"This probably doesn't lead outside."

Sasori sat by the window, thoughtfully looking out.

"This is underground. It would be a ghost story if a crow could fly in."

"But I didn't think too much about it at the time. I just felt stuffy staying here all the time, so I opened a window."

"It works well, but opening it occasionally is a bit scary."

Hatake Satoru chuckled and held out a finger to the crow hovering outside the window.

The crow obediently landed on his hand, its red eyes staring at Hatake Satoru, tilting its head thoughtfully.

"Is that Itachi?"

Sasori didn't know much about that "Looking at the Moon" thing Hozuki Mangetsu mentioned. This crow's Sharingan was so obvious it might as well announce to the world, "I am Uchiha Itachi's crow clone!"

"Yeah, but it's weird for him to send a letter."

"We don't usually contact each other."

Hatake Satoru took the rolled-up letter from the crow's leg and stroked the black crow's head.

The crow seemed to enjoy it, rubbing against him before suddenly disappearing, leaving a single black feather fluttering down.

Hozuki Mangetsu thoughtfully watched the disappearing crow. Because Shisui always sent crows in flocks, he hadn't paid much attention to whether there were any red-eyed crows.

He didn't realize crows could be used like this, it seemed kind of interesting.

"You guys have a really good relationship."

Sasori said, looking at the falling feather.

He hadn't seen Uchiha Itachi sending letters with crows often, but the crows were annoying when fighting.

After all, you hit the kid, and he turns turn into a flock of crows, which is frustrating.

The crow showing such obvious affection, it looked like a human weapon had turned good, which felt strange.

But from this perspective, Hatake Satoru wasn't lying when he said he was friends with Itachi.

"Oh? Well, it's just like that."

"After all, as a normal person, I have some friends."

Hatake Satoru paused, then waved the letter in his hand, giving Sasori a meaningful smile.

Could you not mock people for not having friends!

Sasori was speechless.

Sasori pushed the window shut and sat by the window without saying a word.

Hozuki Mangetsu was also unusually well-behaved, staying to the side without clamoring to go and see Hatake Satoru's letter.

This reaction didn't seem like Hozuki Mangetsu's personality.

But Hozuki Mangetsu himself was the Mizukage, so they should be opposed to the Akatsuki organization.

But from the clues left in various ways.

Apart from Hoshigaki Kisame, Hatake Satoru had various connections with other Akatsuki members.

Hozuki Mangetsu thought he might be involved with Uchiha Itachi, who was also from Konoha, but after seeing Deidara, Hozuki Mangetsu realized it wasn't that simple.

But Hozuki Mangetsu had no way of knowing exactly what Hatake Satoruu was doing, or what he wanted to do.

Although Hatake Satoru usually showed them everything openly, he would avoid them when it came to important information.

Hozuki Mangetsu wasn't a child, so he understood this.

"Well... it's about time to get to work, time to pick up the experimental subject."

Hatake Satoru unfolded the letter. The handwriting was familiar.

Uchiha Itachi wasn't telling him about Hidan's situation, but asking if the strange things that had been happening recently had anything to do with him.

Deidara's sudden defection felt strange, and the Akatsuki organization couldn't find any information about Deidara.

It was like he had disappeared into thin air.

Deidara pursued so-called art, and often caused big explosions.

Explosions are the most obvious thing, so it should be easy to find out about Deidara.

Any big explosions nearby would definitely be reported, becoming a threat.

But after Deidara defected, there was no sound or movement.

It's impossible that he abandoned his art and defected.

This was very strange, and Uchiha Itachi also asked Hatake Satoru if he had any clues.

When things are too strange, suspicion falls on Hatake Satoru.

It's hard to say if he did something.

He casually mentioned Hidan and Kakuzu's situation.

Although the letter was written vaguely, Hatake Satoru still saw the suspicion in it.

Uchiha Itachi felt that this series of events should be related to Hatake Satoru, but there was no evidence or reasoning, only so-called intuition.

"Experimental subject? What's written in there?"

Hozuki Mangetsu tilted his head, asking curiously.

Hatake Satoru tore up the letter, lit it with a lighter, and burned it to ashes.

"Oh, he asked about Deidara, because his departure was too mysterious."

"According to Deidara's personality, wherever he goes, people would complain about him, but there's no news, which is a bit strange."

"Experimental subject~ You'll know when you see him, it should be soon anyway."

Hatake Satoru replied lightly.

"Itachi can directly link you to this, it seems you've done a lot of outrageous things."

Sasori said mockingly.

Like when something bad happens, your friends immediately guess that you did it.

Hatake Satoru shrugged nonchalantly.

"I've done a lot of outrageous things~".
