Chapter 14 - Chapter 14: The War of Eidra

Thunder tore through the heavens.

The cracked seal glowed violently, and Marrigon rose from the dust, his armor fractured, his divine form unstable but furious. He lifted his arms and called out to the void:

"Come, children of old myths... walk once more among the living."

The ground trembled.

From the depths of myth, they came. Zeus with his thunder. Hades cloaked in shadows. Fenrir with his colossal jaws. A thousand gods and monsters—real, imagined, forgotten—stood behind Marrigon.

Kyle's eyes widened. Mira stumbled back, breath stolen.

"This... this isn't possible," Mira gasped.

Barak gritted his teeth. "He summoned them all. Every legend. Every nightmare."

Then the ground behind Light cracked and blazed.

Light looked back, his expression unreadable. Then his lips curled into a smile—a wicked, knowing smile.

He raised his hand.

"Come out."

The ground exploded in radiant fire.

Veilbrone armies rose from the earth like spirits called home. First came Ifrit, eyes burning with infernal rage. Behind him, flame demons stood ready. Then Barak's own mountain kin roared with war hammers. Azazel flew down with his beast legion. Karin brought forth the Earth Jinn—giants of stone and dust.

Even the villagers Light had once saved arrived, now armored and ready.

Light raised his blade high. The Eternal Eye blazed.

"By the name of the Lord," Saying in Mind. "Raze."

The armies surged forward.

---

The battlefield became chaos.

Ifrit unleashed hellfire storms, melting hordes of gods.

Azazel commanded massive flying serpents to coil around fallen titans.

Karin's earth Jinn split the terrain, swallowing gods whole.

Zeus hurled bolts that shattered mountains. Anubis summoned death hounds. Athena clashed with Mira, sparks flying from every strike.

Sila charged through illusions, protecting Light's body with relentless grace.

And in the sky, Light and Marrigon collided like stars.

Marrigon's sword clashed with Light's flame-blade. Each strike shook the heavens.

"Why do you fight me?!" Marrigon screamed. "I gave you everything!"

"You gave me chains, not freedom!"

Then—a flash.

Marrigon pulled a relic from his chest. It looked like a piece of shattered time itself.

He plunged it into Light's heart.

Mira screamed.

Light's body collapsed in her arms.

Marrigon, broken and bleeding, whispered: "I'm sorry... my son. I need your help."

He knelt beside Light and took the Eternal Eye.

It pulsed. Flashed. Then began glowing violently—beyond control.

---

A dark throne.

Somewhere beyond death, Light opened his eyes.

A figure sat before him—cloaked, faceless.

"Who are you?" Light asked.

The figure stood. Shadows twisted into a humanoid form.

"I am the shadow cast by your defiance.

The witness to every wound you've endured.

The echo of pain that shaped your will.

I am the silence that follows the final breath—

both peace and dread.

I am not your end,

I am your reflection."

Light looked down. The Eternal Eye, ripped from him, still glowed within his chest.

Death smiled faintly. "You are not dead. That poison? It can't stop you. The eye heals. The fire remembers."

Light gasped as his heart reignited.

---

Back in the real world—

A thunderous pulse echoed.

Light stood up.

Everyone froze.

Barak dropped his weapon.

Mira fell to her knees, crying in relief.

Sila clutched his arm, whispering, "You're back… Flamebearer."

Marrigon stepped back, confused, terrified.

Light walked forward, golden fire wrapping around his form.

"I'm sorry too, Mother."

He raised his blade.

And then he ended her.

The sword sliced through myth, through lies, through gods.

Marrigon's divine form shattered into ash.

The fake gods panicked and fled—vanishing like stories forgotten.

Silence returned.

---

The battlefield calmed.

Mira cradled Light's head, his breathing steady.

Barak laughed. Sila knelt. Azazel grunted approvingly. Karin folded his arms with a rare smile.

Kyle approached. "We won."

Then—

A sound.

Like thunder, but deeper. The sky began to tear.

A massive portal opened.

Kyle stepped forward, face pale.

"We're not done. Everyone prepare!" he shouted.

Light sat up, still weak. "It's alright, Kyle."

Kyle turned to him. "You're... planning to fight this?"

He looked back at the portal.

Massive shadows approached—bigger than titans.

Kyle whispered to himself:

"But... who are these?
