[POV: Solenne]
Solenne had taken to using Ruvan's name whenever she had the chance. Whether it was to get his attention, scold him, praise him, or ask him a question… his name left her lips almost constantly. Since she wasn't used to using her voice, however, it left her throat feeling dry and sore.
She wanted to make a throat-soothing concoction to help relax her tired vocal cords. Her first step, then, would be gathering the ingredients.
"Solenne, where are we going?" Ruvan asked as he dutifully walked beside her in the snowy woods near the Citadel. "You asked me to escort you out, but didn't tell me why."
Solenne glanced askance at him and smiled softly. 'I want to make myself some medicine. I need to gather the necessary components to do so.'
Ruvan nodded in understanding, but asked, "Nothing grows around here. Are you sure we'll be able to find what you need? I can always send a few scouts south to gather what you want."
